This is one of my favorite shopping sites. The prices are excellent. The shipping fees and duty(if you live in Canada) are very reasonable, and the customer service is excellent as well. This website has new vrand name items daily. The one downfall is you can't order any household items such as kitchen wares or portraits because they don't ship to Canada.
I pretty much love Haute Look. I've ordered quite a few times and have never had any issues with any of my orders. I tend to shop beauty and accessories the most and not clothing though. I do find that they take their sweet time shipping items to Canada though, so don't expect to get your order very quickly (usually about 2-3 weeks, and I'm in Ontario for reference.) They have very decent shipping rates, but do charge a 20% surcharge to cover duty and taxes, but you're usually saving so much on the purchase price that it's not an issue.
I've ordered almost a dozen things from this site but the last two times have been terrible.. I got $150 boots and they were a mismatch. One was wrinkled and warn and the other was perfect condition.. I just received a ring today that was listed as .10 ctw with a scratch...Diamonds shouldn't scratch so I looked into it and turns out it is from sears and listed as CZ.... awesome thanks for lying hautelook...
I purchased a WHITE pre-owned Dolce & Gabanna peacoat from www.hautelook.com for about $500 in total (incl. tax and shipping) during their "decadestwo 1 Italian label" event in late February, 2011. I normally don't buy pre-owned items but the pictures they offered showed a flawless coat and their description mentioned "next to new condition", so I ordered it. The item arrived on March 1, 2011 and I discovered a thin stain on the front of the coat (which looked like a pen mark). I immediately reported it to hautelook.com. I opened the coat and also found multiple dirt stains all over the lower edge inside the coat. Again, this is a WHITE coat and stains are fetal for white coats! This case was also reported and filed (I sent pictures of this to hautelook.com reps). Hautelook.com refused to let me return it since it was a final sale and offered me $50 for dry cleaning instead after a few days of dispute. I said I prefer to send it back and have them dry clean it and then send it back to me; and that if the stains are all out, I'd be more than happy to take it back. They emailed me back saying, all they can do is giving me $50 and if the dry cleaner is unable to get the stains out, it is their (dry cleaner's) responsibility. Either way, it is my fault to buy a bad product and they will not take a responsibility no matter what. I think it is my right to get what I paid for- I paid for a "next to new condition" coat, not a dirty used coat that I would have NOT bought if it was accurately described. I decided to report this so that there won't be victims like me in the future and that hautelook.com stops deceiving their customers. Anyway, if you buy anything bad from hautelook.com, know that they won't take the responsibility.
Purchased sunglasses, and yes it did take close to a month to receive the order. Upon inspection, you can see that the frame is not right, looked it over and the right hinge is not set correctly. The glasses will not sit on face correctly. Called customer service and they told me I have to send them pictures of the glasses to their email address. I sent them the pictures and it has been 3 days now and still have not heard back from them. Will try calling again today. I know most items say nonreturnable, but if the item is sent to you defective, you would think you could return it for refund. Would not buy from them again.
This is a very frustrating site to order from. Their numbers are very limited and you constantly get "on hold" when you try to put something in your basket. It tells you that you can come back in 15 minutes to see if the item is available, but I've never been able to get anything once it's "on hold".
Another issue is the shipping and handling charges. When I buy more than $50 worth of product, free shipping is a must. You get it at all the beauty sites like Sephora, Ulta and http://Beauty.com. But it just never happens here.
And I'm not impressed with their shipping time. It usually takes two weeks to get anything from http://Hautelook.com. They ship out slowly, something that is an issue they really need to look into. When you have a sale that only lasts a day or two, why does it take more than a week to package and ship?
I have gotten some good bargains at http://Hautelook.com, but in all honesty, I don't even go there very much because the issues make it a non-customer friendly site.
I was really happy shopping with Haute look until I realized that they are SCAM artists.
I was purchasing some jewelry from H2 Hammerman and it was listed on their site as 56% off. So just by chance I decided to check out the prices elsewhere, well GUESS what, the prices on Hautelook were inflated by 20% to 30% over even SAKS FIFTH AVENUE (regular not discount)..so instead of getting 50% off actually you are getting 20%.
They are INFLATING the price over what it is normally sold retail so that you think you are getting a bigger discount!!!! CHECK IT OUT people. THIS IS AN ILLEGAL PRACTICE. I caught them on this and let them know and they were extremely rude to me after I have spend many thousands of dollars on their website, they even tried to tell me that the prices at Saks fifth avenue are below retail prices LMAO!! Yeah right!

I have ordered from hautelook and haven't had any problems with them. For me every time I order it comes pretty quickly. They have great sales and I can't wait til 11am when the sales start :) So if anyone wants to check it out here's an invite just copy and paste in your browser enjoy !
I recently shopped the Hautelook.com sample sales and will NEVER visit the website again. Yes, they mostly have great items but the amount of time that I have been waiting for my purchase is not worth the discount on the item. Its been over a month and I have yet to receive my package. The shipping continues to be delayed. Customer service is full of poor and obtuse excuses. I would never recommend Hautelook to anyone unless you are willing to wait 6 to 8 weeks between ordering and receiving. At this point I would rather pay full price and not have to deal with the SLOWWWWW shipping and bad customer service. Ladies, do yourself a service and dont order. There are many other online sample sales sites that have great items AND great service.
This is probably the worse shopping experience i have ever had. I ordered a dress from the Hautelook on March 10 and I have been waiting for it ever since. I was very excited to see the dress. However, my order somehow appeared in my return history in the account on its website. So I called Hautelook and they told me that they over sold my dress so I wont be getting it but they are giving me 20 dollars credit in my account. My time and wait worth way more than 20 dollars!!!!!!!! I am so mad at Hautelook and extremely disappointed at their service. Will never shop on Hautelook ever again. I have way better shopping experience on Gilt Group. Gilt Group got really fast shipping service that you get your package usually within a week. Gilt Group also got more high end designer brands. No matter where you are going to shop just don't shop on Hautelook!!!
