    Not for me.

I received this product in a subscription box. I was excited as I've never tried the Ahava products before and as someone with extremely dry, sensitive skin I love anything that can give me a moisture boost in winter.

The company boasts a Skin Friendly Philosophy and says "There are no traces of harmful ingredients in any of our products so you can use them with real peace of mind" which was good because who wants to smear harmful ingredients on their face? Am I right?

So with a sense of glee I got ready to give myself a nice little spa treatment. The first thing I noticed when I opened it was the smell. It's actually a very light, familiar fragrance that I can't place but think it might be Shea butter. The texture or consistency is a nice creamy feel. It's not thick but it's not runny either. I applied it to my face according to the directions and waited the minimum 3 minutes before rinsing off. The first thing I noticed was that my face felt greasy and slick. I rinsed again to make sure I'd gotten it all off and it still felt slick. Then my face started itching. I'm not sure which one of the numerous ingredients I was reacting to but as soon as that started I washed my face again to get it all off. I'm glad I didn't leave it on overnight for the extra moisture as they say you can do.

At $33 dollars MSRP I think this product is overpriced even if I hadn't had a reaction to it. There are other intense moisturizers on the market that work very well and aren't loaded with chemicals that most can't pronounce.

The list of the full ingredients is listed below. I'm sorry but $33 for something that's first (in largest quantity) ingredient is water is too steep for me.
