too much glitter/shine for a facial moisturizer

This moisturizer is a great consistency however the glitter/sheen it leaves on skin is not at all subtle. I found it left my skin looking unnatural and discolored. I will most likely be using this under makeup only and not as a daily moisturizer. I also don't enjoy the scent. It does leave my skin feeling soft but find it hard to spread around because of the glitter residue.
