This metal detector is surprisingly lightweight, which makes it especially ideal for outdoors use or keeping in the car to take to locations like the beach. I could comfortably hold it in one hand for extended periods, even though I'm pretty weak physically and get sore/tired easily.

I found it lacked sensitivity to extremely fine metals (a thin silver wire) at the regular sensitivity, but didn't realise at first that it can be adjusted to a higher sensitivity. Having adjustable sensitivity is very handy if you find it's reading too much or too little. I tested it on several metal and non-metals and apart from a brief moment where I was confused (then realised it was reading the kitchen sink) it read everything accurately.

I like that it can be set to 'vibration' or a 'tone'. The beep is quite loud and when out in public could be embarrassing or uncomfortable if you're the shy sort.

The only downside to this is the 9V battery (not included). It would be easier and cheaper if it were rechargeable or took AA or AAA batteries, but I'd still recommend it overall!

    + Adjustable sensitivity.
    + Lightweight.
    + Accurate.
+ Has tone or vibration option.
+ Ring design can be swept over smaller items.

    - 9V batteries are not usually in the house and can be expensive.
    - Batteries not included.
