I do not like this product at all. It has a strong herbal odor. It stained my bra when I used it during my pregnancy. It was greasy, and it was way too expensive!
I can not rate its effectiveness properly because I did not use it more than once. What a disappointment.

Maybe this works for others, but it did not do anything for me. I used it on my face every evening to help diminish some blemishes I have on my face, and it did make my skin soft, but my skin did break out and the oil did not help my blemishes at all! If you are curious about Bio-oil I suggest you should try it because it is only 10 dollars and I know it has worked for a couple of my friends and their scars from surgery. I don't regret buying it, because it does make your skin super soft. But I won't be repurchasing this item.

I used this throughout my pregnancy and I still got stretch marks. It says it helps prevent and diminish and I think this product doesn't do either. I used this 3 times a day RELIGIOUSLY throughout my entire pregnancy and I still ended up with marks everywhere. It smells nice and feels nice, but for about $10 a bottle that would last me about a month, it's totally not worth it.

I'm currently using Bio-oil on a scar from a surgery. The scar is old but I thought I would give it a shit anyways. I have noticed that within the first 2 weeks, my scar has softened. I'm going to continue using it for 3 months to see what happens.

It works for me. It keeps my skin soft and gets ride of new scars. It does not get ride of old stretch marks or old scaps.

Bio-Oil is great! With a bit of patience, it treats scars so they are less noticeable. I have used this product myself for my own scars, and after a few weeks there are no hints of scars in the areas applied. To add to Bio-Oil's effectiveness, it also smells awesome and has a great consistency. I would recommend it to those who are willing to spend a bit more, but are looking for great results.

Bio-Oil is advertised to treat scars, stretch marks, uneven skin tone, aging skin and dehydrated skin. I used Bio-Oil on a 3 inch long scar from ankle surgery. The oil takes any itch away from the area that is caused by tight skin. It also moisturizes the scar. After a month of use, the scar is less noticeable.

This product claims to reduce the visibility of scars, stretch marks, uneven skin tone, aging skin, and dehydrated skin and it honestly works! I purchased this to try using it on the left over acne scars that I have on my face (I have A LOT of acne scars and they are over 10 years old). I'm self conscious about the scars so I wanted to try something to reduce the visibility of them if not eliminate them all together. I've been using the Bio-Oil for a couple of weeks now and I've seen a HUGE difference! It says you're supposed to use it twice a day for 3 months (I don't use it religiously) and I've noticed a huge difference in less then a month. The texture of my skin seems smoother and softer, and the scars are practically gone. Definitely worth the buy.

As a few people have already mentioned, this product is great for quite a few things, including stretch marks (before and after), scars, and wrinkles, to name a few. I've personally been using it mainly for wrinkles and evening out my skin tone. My problem areas are early wrinkles on my forehead and uneven tone to my cheeks due to mild acne (no deep scars). I've had great luck with this product in both areas. I will admit that I feel naked if I don't put this product on before going out now as it really adds a liveliness to my pale complexion as well (how does it do that?!).

The scars on my forehead were noticeably lighter within the first week of using the product, and with continued use, they have definitely diminished. My skin tone has gotten a lot more even, and my light scarring from acne has almost completely disappeared.

The only problem I've had with this product is with applying it on my chin and nose area. I found that I did experience more breakouts than normal in those areas when I applied it there, but those areas are generally oily for me to begin with. This product is oil-based, but it is also easily absorbed, even in those problem areas, and once I stopped using the product in those areas, I experienced no more breakouts.

I'd definitely give this one a try. It is a great all-over item, and if it doesn't work for one thing for you, it just might work for another.
