My Favourite Eyeliner
I love how smoothly this eyeliner applies and how well it lasts throughout the day. Definitely my favourite eyeliner. Once used to using a brush instead of a pencil to apply eyeliner, this goes on so nicely and quickly. There is a little added time compared to a pencil because you have to add the gel to the brush and frequently wash the brush, but it is completely worth it. My biggest complaint is that the gel dries out long before you have the chance to use it all, making it feel like a waste of product and money (and although worth the price, it is fairly pricey).
Although it's a bit pricey, this eyeliner is fantastic. Being used to a pencil eyeliner it took me a few tries to achieve the look I wanted, I'm happy with the results. It's creamy, long wearing formula blends easily & works for me.
I love the gel eyeliner collection by Bobbi Brown ! I have it in the Black Mauve Shimmer Ink 23 & Espresso Ink 7
Pros:
- long lasting
- does not smudge throughout the day
- a little goes a long way
Cons:
- takes longer to apply than traditional eyeliner (ie: need to use a brush)
- can never finish the whole pot before it dries out
- pricey
Yes it worked very well on me, but it did dry out a year later after I purchased it. Then I got the Maybelline one, works as good as the Bobbi one and much cheaper. The only difference between the two are the packagings, other than that I could tell no differences between the two.
I alternate between Bobbi Brown's gel liner and MAC's fluidline. To be honest, I think Fluidline is better. It's a bit less money and does not dry out as quickly. I've bought a few colors of Bobbi Brown's since I like the selection of blacks/caviar/graphite that have some subtle differences for a basic liner.
When it's new, they go on smoothly and last all day.
The downside is that it dries out a lot faster than Fluidline. I can use a Fluidline straight to the end, lasting 1-2 years. Bobbi Brown's starts to dry up after I'm about halfway through and it starts crumbling along the lash line and being quite thick.
I'd recommend it if you can use it up quickly; if you're not, Fluidline may be a better choice.
Its along the lines of Fluideline. Its very very creamy, and did not have any trouble with it drying out on me. From this point of view its better than it Mac version, however it is not as pigmented and does not allow for a prcise, pigmented line as well as the Fluidline. I like it however, but I wish it ws richer in terms of colour.
It took me a while to decide whether or not I'd recommend this product. I paid $21 for this in the States, which is a bit more expensive than my normal eyeliner. However, I did like this product, and it doesn't smudge TOO much. There is still smudging especially when I go to a club, and it's not great for a rainy day, or when I'm at a particularly boring meeting (causing yawning, and therefore smudges).
However, it does stay longer than other eyeliners, and the quality is amazing. Upon application, the liner runs on very smoothly, and I never have any problems.
One of my eyes however is a monolid, meaning I have a hooded eye. this makes application super hard because my skin is very elastic and will drag along with the eyeliner, hence creating mistakes.
This eyeliner is just OKAY when it comes to that problem, I will still make mistakes, but i'm usually able to smudge it away.
I cannot say I absolutely would RAVE about this product, but so far, it's my favourite. I however, would want to try out the MAC Fluidline to see a comparison.
