It's not a moisturizing nor healing lip balm. Its more for fun. Smells great and few even taste great. You can apply it on top on an "actual" lip balm :)
These are great for children due to the colors and scents, but I never thought they were overly effective as far as chap sticks went.
Although these aren't the best lip balms out there they are fun. They have a huge array of flavours and the packaging is cute. As a kid I loved them, as an adult not so much. There are way better balms out there. I find these to be too gimicky, waxy and not at all good for relieving dry, chapped lips. In my opinion these are better suited to kids, teens and those without chapped lips who are looking for a very basic flavoured balm.
Nostalgia at its finest! However, now as an adult I realize there are far superior products on the market. Still pick one up every once in awhile to relive childhood but do not use on a daily basis. A variety of flavours is offered which is nice! I find my lips feel waxy and coated after use.
WHo doesnt remember perfume of candy and soda in those lip balm! They don't really work, but they have the best perfume (and taste!) ever!
Bonne Bell Lip Smackers brings back childhood memories for me! My aunt gave me a set for Christmas when I was 5 years old and I was hooked. I regularly brought lip smackers until the end of jr. high. I love all the different playful scents. They are moisturizing and hydrating. The only down fall is no SPF and some lip smackers contain huge pieces of glitter in it.
I have up and downs about Lip Smackers, depending on which kind you get is what works and doesn't work. I find the flavored Coke-Cola ones don't work as good as a Strawberry flavor or something along those lines. I find from when I was smaller it was more cheaper than now a days, I think it is a bit expensive for what you are getting it for.
I as well grew up with Lip Smackers. I have fond memories of getting some and trying out all the flavors. My favorite was the bubble gum one. Now, as an (almost) adult I've gone back and purchased some more of these nostalgic items.
I bought a gift set that featured many of the "classic" flavors. I find that those "multi packs" or gift sets are the best way to go about purcasing Lip Smackers, as they can be quite expensive on their own. Plus these make a great gift for any kid! Most flavors are very gender neutral and can be enjoyed by kids of all ages.
These lip balms smell (and taste) delicious. Most are very true to name, and you can tell exactly what they're supposed to smell/taste like. The lip balm is a thicker consistancy and can be rather sticky. I don't find these to be that moisturizing at all.
These are more of a "fun" lip balm, and not really a "heavy duty" one. They're cute to have and the flavors are fun to use every once in a while but these lip products aren't going to prevent chapped lips, or help solve your dry lips.
I also own a few of the "novelty" scents, such as A&W;Root Beer. The Holiday scents such as "Apple Cider" and the more "Fun" scents like Cookie Dough.
