This book was enjoyable to read but it's definitely not Kinsella's best. The characters were funny and I was anxious to find out what will happen in the end. But pace of the story was a little slower than the Shopaholic series. I'd still recommend this book because it's a good chick lit.

I read this book a year or so ago and it is another hit by Sophie Kinsella as far as I am concerned. I read Sophie Kinsella's books for summer light reading...it's the equivalent of watching a sitcom... I enjoy her books because of her use of language as well. I highly recommend this book or any of her other books if you are looking for a quick easy read that will not cause you to think too hard but will amuse you nonetheless.

For a recent 5 hour drive to Los Angeles I decided to pass the time w/ a book on CD. So I visited my local library and found this title! I knew of Confessions of a Shopaholic (thanks to ChickAdvisor), though had never read it, and thought I'd give it a whirl.

The story is a fun, light, humorous read ... er, listen. The storyline was light enough that I could follow along easily while still concentrating on the road. The only challenge was that I had to listen more attentively than I would normally b/c the book was read by a British woman. My ears would perk at different pronunciations, emphasis, and even new words altogether!

The book was fun and it accomplished my goal ... make the drive to Los Angeles a bit more bearable!
