Thanks Chick Advisor and Catelli for sending in the free Rotini and Sphaghetti for an honest review. I selected the Ancient Grains primarily as my husband is very selective on pastas and for this one, I had no problem convincing that it is a healthy one. So I cooked Rotini with pesto sauce and we had it for supper. It took a little longer to cook and found it not so soft . But husband was happy, kid was not too excited but he did eat it. I was happy to have tried it and would certainly incorporate it in our meals, especially lunches.

I made this pasta for dinner one night and it was great tasting. I made it with tomato sauce and it was delicious. I like the variety of shapes and types of pasta that Catelli offers. This is a pasta that you can mix and match with veggies and sauces.

I decided to make a pasta salad using the Catelli Ancient Grains Rotini instead of my usual white rotini. It was just okay for me. I think I would have to try it a few more times to see if the flavor grows on me. However, my hubby ate it and seemed to really enjoy it. I like that this is a healthier choice for my family as we really do enjoy pasta and I want to start making healthier choices.

I really liked this pasta however my family did not. Perhaps it was to healthy for them. The first night I used it with a homade pasta sauce. Then with the left over cold pasta I made a pasta salad. I think I liked it cold even better. Added peppers, dresssin, and feta. I would buy Catelli Ancient Grains again. #GotItFree

I received this product for free in exchange for a review. This pasta was very tasty according to my kids and hubby! We've had whole grain pasta many times , so they were not put off by the different color. Would definitely buy this pasta again!

I received this product from Chickadvisor's product review program. I'm always looking for a way to incorporate much needed grains into my families diet and this pasta was definitely a great way to do that. It was easy to cook with, tasted great with no weird texture to it. To my surprise my family ate it up with no complaints. This is a great product and will be purchasing it again in the future.

I made the recipe on the back of the box and my husband loved it (I added some Monterey and Parmesan cheeses). The taste was good but like others have said before me, the colour was a bit strange. My 10 year old thought the brown noodles were cool! I like the idea of getting more healthy choices into my family's diet and this could be one! This was a miss with my family. I made it with an Alfredo sauce and grilled chicken with a light dusting of fresh grated parmesan. The taste seemed bitter to all of us. The colour also looked a little odd, it had a brown colour. My kids were very hesitant to try brown noodles. They prefer the multicoloured Rotini (spinach, tomato, potatoe. While not being too starchy it was too grainy and almost gritty for us.

I used my ancient grain pasta with my shrimp and Alfredo sauce.
Everyone ate it but asked me not to buy the pasta again. It tasted really grainy. I had to douce my plate in extra parmasean cheese. It was cooked all the way. That wasn't the problem. We usually eat whole wheat breads and pasta but this pasta had a had texture and taste. It won't be on my grocery list.
