I was dissapointed with this product. I have seen it work wonders on other peoples skin and I was looking forward to trying a product that was apparently healthy and sensitive enough to use for me. I am allergic to everything in makeup items. The clinique lady assured me that I wouldn't have a reaction. There were no perfumes or anything harmful in them. Well I returned a week later with a horrible break out all over my face. The lady just apologized and gave me my money back.
I would still recommend it to other people, as I know friends and family members use it and love it. And for what it is, it is a good product for those who can use it.

I have always had problem skin and I thought I was doomed to deal with the odd combination of breakouts and dry skin. I was having reactions to sunscreen on my face and someone referred me to Clinique. I was setup with a sunscreen, but didn't jump on the 3 step system right away. The skin advisor gave me a sample of the moisturizing gel to try as she was sure it would do wonders for my skin - I was back in 2 days buying the whole system. I use it at least once per day, and my skin has never been better. It is a more expensive products, but it actually works out cheaper in the long run as the products last longer and I spend less on other products. I've slowly converted almost completely to their makeup as well. Can't recommend highly enough - a system for every skin type!

Before switching to this three step system I had horrible acne, uneven skin tones and dryness. The soap and the cream are with every penny as you only use a little bit. I will never buy any other skin care prod it's ever again

I recently went back to Clinique because I wanted a more cost effective system. I bought the packaged three step in #2 (dry/combo) per the questionnaire system as well as a couple of other things I wanted to try. Within a week I ended up with dry, red, scaly skin. I didn't want to give up as this system had worked very well for me back in the day. I switched some things around and got it right and added in Take the Day off Balm and Moisture Surge. This is what I found (and hope it helps):
1. The liquid soap is NOT for me (went back to the bar version and the eczema disappeared.The liquid isn't actually soap, but detergent). Has a lot of sodium (salt) which can be irritating and drying.
2. The questionnaire diagnosing system is not foolproof. Unfortunately, many clinique SA's think it is and advise wrongly.
3. It's better to error with a milder number "system" than stronger.
4. Clarifying lotions #2, 3 and 4 are not for anyone with dry or sensitive skin- too strong. I reacted to the menthol in #2, which was another reason I had a problem, but #1 is fine.
5. You may have some purging, but should not have any burning or itching.
6. Overall, This is a reasonably priced system especially considering the escalating prices of drugstore products and the overworked, overpriced, and drop in quality of other lines (Erno Laszlo and Arcona, I'm lookin' at you!)

I used to use Clinique products all the time. I really like fact that they don't use a lot of perfume in their products. I find Clinique products really expensive and started looking for something else that would perform as well on my skin. What I found was Spectro. It's not perfumed and is really gentle on my skin. I use a good moisturizer after and I'm very happy with the results and the price.

I have used other products for skin care but this one is wonderful and is personalized for your own skin type

Using this product was one of the worse skin-experiences I have ever had! I literally switched to a bar of soap and within two days my skin started to clear up.

I used the Clinique for a few months, hoping, but I just developed a rash type-acne that was horrible and painful!

I absolutely love this skincare kit. Non greasy& doesn't dry out my face. Clinque knows Skin!

have nothing but fabulous things to say about it. I find the product last awhile too so it is worth the spend!!

I will never use any other skin care products besides Clinique. I tried when I was younger and it went terribly. I have been using Clinique 3-step since I was 11, I am 25 and will never not use it twice daily. TRY THIS!

The 3 step system allows you to have clean and softer looking skin. The cleanser cleans out all of the waterproof makeup, which is great. The toner cleans extensively and wipes out any excess dirt on your skin. The moisturizer doesn't really moisturize my skin so I give 4 stars
