The Dove Pure Care Dry Oil Nourishing Hair Treatment with African Macadamia Oil left my hair beautiful and supple. Although i found i only needed half of the recommended amount of the oil and applied it to the end of my hair not the roots. For while my hair was soft and smooth as the result of the oil, if applied at the roots it made a little greasy.

Fragrance:
The hair oil has a very pleasant fragrance that's less subtle than the fragrance of Dove's Nutritive Solutions Daily Moisture Shampoo & Conditioner.

Ease of Use:
Dove's Pure Care Dry Oil With African Macadamia Oil is very easy to dispense and apply to your hair. The usage instructions are very easy to follow. The pump dispenser bottle has been designed in such a way that it takes minimal pressure to dispense the oil and the whole process is non-messy and minimizes waste. It's very easy to massage the oil through your hair from mid-length to tip and the oil feels non-greasy.

Performance:
Dove's Pure Care Dry Oil With African Macadamia Oil did a great job of nourishing my hair. I could see the benefits of the oil after just one use. The oil left an attractive shine on my hair, and my hair was smooth to the touch without feeling greasy.

Criticisms:
There's nothing negative I can say about Dove's Pure Care Dry Oil With African Macadamia Oil except that it would be nice if it were priced under $11.99 a bottle.

The Verdict:
Our household infrequently uses oil hair care treatment products, so I would classify Dove's Pure Care Dry Oil With African Macadamia Oil as a bit of a "nice-to-have" or luxury product. That being said, this oil does a great job of nourishing your hair, leaving it feeling silky smooth and looking shiny. Therefore, I have no reservations about recommending it.

Thanks to Chick Advisor for the opportunity to test Dove Dry Oil Treatment. I use this product on both wet and dry hair. It has a light fragrance that doesn't compete with other products you may use at he same time. It leaves my hair feeling softer and minimizes frizz in my naturally curly hair. It makes combing much easier. I also use this as a quick fix to tame flyaways and frizz during the day. I recommend this for anyone with curly, unruly hair.

I normally use some kind of oil or serum in my hair. I have to be careful with what I use though. I have very fine, straight limp hair, so the oil can not weigh it down. I also have extremely oily hair....it starts to get oily after around 6 hours from washing. Some oils make my hair even more oilier. This oil was pretty nice. I just used one pump and focused just on my ends. It made it soft and less tangles when blow drying. It didn't leave my hair feeling too weighed down, and it didn't make me feel or look oiler. I would recommened this to anyone seeking nourishment for their hair. I'm saving some for the summer to see how it holds up to extra oil and heat.

I have very long hair, past my waist. It makes it difficult to keep my hair feeling properly conditioned. I really liked the dry oil. I was actually not looking forward to reviewing this because I hate having anything oily on my hands, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Although it was oily feeling in my hand (the only drawback, in my opinion) it did not make my hair look or feel oily, which is something else I had worried about.

Overall, I was very surprised at how much I liked it, and will probably continue to use it in the future.

I received this product to try as part of the Chick Advisor Review Club. Overall, I did like this oil. I applied a small amount after washing & towel drying my hair, and then applied my other styling products (usually mousse or gel) and went on with my day. I didn't find it too greasy, and it did tame my frizz, as well as moisturizing the ends.
The one day that I accidentally applied too much, it did feel greasy and weight down though, so I definitely recommend using a smaller amount.
For the price point, I'm not sure that it did *enough* for me to warrant buying it again in the future. I'm still a little undecided on that front. I'll use it a few more times to be sure!

J'ai essayé ce produit sur les cheveux mouillés après shampoing, il a fallu que j'utilise une très petite quantité sinon j'avais l'impression que mes cheveux s'aplatissaient, mais quelques gouttes suffisent pour laisser les cheveux lisses et brillants. J'ai préféré l'utiliser en plus grand quantité sur mes cheveux secs avant de me coucher pour les laver le lendemain matin. Quel beau traitement pour les cheveux, j'ai jamais eu une si belle chevelure, soyeuse et sans frisottis. Je recommande de l'utiliser de cette façon, comme traitement en profondeur, ça vaut le coup! De plus cette huile ne laisse pas de tâches sur les oreillers.

When I received Dove Pure Care Dry Oil Nourishing Hair Treatment with Macadamia Oil for free to try from Chickadvisor, my first thought is man the Marie Stevens is a mouthful. It's so long I can't remember it. I have had experience in applying oils in my hair and I found it to be hard to style my curly hair. I read instructions on it and decided to apply it as a pre-treatment in the shower. My hair felt silkier and really soft after I did the pretreatment. Also, it does not require much product so it'll go a long way.

I received this product free for testing purposes and I was very excited to try it out but slightly afraid that it would leave my hair feeling greasy and limp. I normally wash my hair every other day and by the second day begins to look a little greasy and I was afraid that this product would amplify that. I used this both on damp hair and on dry hair and I found that it worked well for me on both. It left my hair feeling soft and smooth and not at all greasy. I also tend to have slightly frizzy hair and it helped smooth it out. It also had a pleasant sent they did not find to over-the-top.
I also loved the box and bottle it came in, to me it felt more luxurious than your average drugstore oil.
Overall I really liked it.
