We love Dr Bronner's soaps in our house. I use the baby formula on my son (diluted) and I love the peppermint and almond for hand/body soap for myself. It also is an amazing cleaning agent for counter tops etc. It doesn't get much more pure than Dr. Bronner's. It is a little pricey, but I find a little goes a loooong way!

Both the bar and liquid soaps are pure-castile, meaning they are all vegetable oil-based. And the difference between the liquid and bar soaps is that the liquid soaps use potassium hydroxide to saponify the vegetable oils, versus sodium hydroxide used to make the hard bar soaps as indicated on their website at www.drbronner.com.
The liquid soap is indeed amazing because you don’t need a lot of it and yet, it foams very well despite the fact that it is oil-based. The soap bar lathers up to a lot of suds too. I think these make good body wash, leaving my skin squeaky skin, so if you have an oily face then this will do absolute wonders to your skin!

But Dr Bronner’s soaps are apparently good for everything. I simply love their magic soaps!

I simply adore Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps. I started using the Peppermint soap back in the 80's. I loved it then, and I love it now. The other varieties are wonderful also. I love the Eucalyptus, it works wonders on a stuffy nose and sinus problems. I buy the liquid and bar soap. All soaps are not only certified by Oregon Tilth to the same rigorous USDA National Organic Program standards that certify organic foods, but also are certified Fair Trade by the respected Swiss certifier IMO. The liquid soaps come in a variety of sizes also. You can find Dr Bronner's products at Amazon, drbronner.com and many health food stores carry them.

Dr Bronner's magic soaps come in a variety of scents (Lavender, Tea Tree, and Unscented, to name a few) and are very concentrated, so the bottle of liquid goes a long way. It is very mild, great for all skin types as it is non drying and gentle. I used this after getting tattoos and was impressed at how well it not only kept the area clean, but it also calmed it and aided in the healing process. I find the formula very nourishing and all around amazing! I have even used the Peppermint scented one as a toothpaste substitute once when I ran out! And it was pleasant tasting! I would not do this with any other soap on the market.

It really is magic-it can degrease anything, but all the while doing so naturally. I am in love with the Tea Tree scent in the morning as it is energizing, and Lavender in the evening for it's natural calming properties.
