Looks cheaply made.

This toy was not of the same quality I have had in other spin master toys. This one was felt really cheap and thin. It was very thin and light and didn’t seem like it would stand up against children’s play. It was coloured brightly and if it were a little more sturdy I think it would be good.

Built solid!

Violet and Axl are very well made. Axl is very solid which is great for if it is dropped or bumped. Violet can stand in the cab of Axl and if you press down you can make the headlights move up and down. It would be nice to see more features/moving parts but it’s not a dealbreaker. Great for young children as a push car!

Not in the 'core' rotation

My 3yo loves anything with wheels, so the Firebuds Core Violet and Axl isn't any exception, but it's certainly not one of his favorites. The packaging was plain (thin box and you can't see any of the contents) and not very exciting to get into. The ambulance is ok, and the eyelids open when you press the character in, but the back doesn't open even though there's clearly space in there. The character is fun, but in the picture she has something in her hand which isn't included in the box. So if your little one loves Firebuds it's probably a great toy, but doesn't have any 'wow' factor to engage the kids who don't know the show.

Cute figurine

The figurine of Violet is really cute. Violet can stand in the top of Axl and make the eyes of Axl move but there’s nothing else special about it. My daughter likes playing with cars but gets bored pretty quick with this one since it only moves back and forth and eyes move. If the doors could open it would make it more enjoyable. She really likes Violet though.

For younger kids

We were chosen to review the Firebuds Core Violet and Axl toy from @thisisbutterly .
The package for this toy says 3+ but my 5 yr old and old kids really didn’t care for this toy. With supervision I allowed my 2 yr old to play with it and she loved it. When you push Violet down Axl’s eyes move and she thought that was just amazing. She also loved rolling the vehicle around on the floor. It was nice that the toy stayed in the vehicle and didn’t fall out easier.
I would say this toy is for 2-4 year olds.
Either way my daughter quite liked it!

Great but basic

This toy is accurately designed to the show but does not have any extra features. This is a basic vehicle and figurine. My son was a little disappointed that the spots that look like they should be buttons actually did nothing.
