you can definitely over use this product, if you put too much on ur hair it tends to feel waxy and heavy so minimally apply when ur hair is wet and as it dries it gives you a beachhead texturizing wave. All these "beach waves" hair products are drying so keep that in mind, definitely worth the $5 bucks I paid though! also it has a classic garnier scent, personally I like it but if you don't like strong fragrances then you might not like this product
