I have to say that Olia was an awesomely different experience than expected. Because it has a non-ammonia, oil based formula, it doesn't have that nostril hair singeing smell we all get reminded of every time we hold a new box of at-home color. I use the blue-black varieties of hair color which usually, after a less than satisfactory amount of washes, turns gray. I'm assuming because the blue tint is the first to fade. But with using Garnier Olia's 10-BlueBlack, it seemed like the blue stayed livelier and survived more washes than a regular hair color. My hair also stayed shinier longer than expected. I did find that there was a lot of pigment still escaping (I rinsed for everrrr!) after a few washes. More than usual. So I would say (just at first) to watch out for white towels and pillowcases if you are going with a darker shade.

I would definitely recommend Olia and honestly wish that every brand would start an oil non-ammonia line of hair color!

I was excited to try this product, it was new and exciting from my usual routine. The bottle looks great, and the product distributed evenly. However, it was a bit messier than the heavy cream mixes and took some getting used to. The color was great though, and the smell was nice as well. I'll probably buy this again.

My roommates favourite hair colour by far!! Covers greys, not as pungent smelling as some. Good colour options too

ok so I don't normally use store bought hair color due to the fact that my blonde hair always turns out red for some reason. But I was broke and my roots were driving me nuts.
So i went to the nearest shoppers and found THIS GEM.
it went on great and even had stylish black gloves for application. it was simple to use and had easy to follow instructions. (with pictures!)
The after color conditioner it comes with made my hair smell SO fantastic. It completely eliminated the dye smell. Oh and it left my hair so darn silky and soft i was actually standing under the shower for an extra few minutes trying to get all the "product" out when i finally realized i wasn't feeling product remnants in my hair..my hair was actually silky soft for once.
Finding this great of a store bought hair dye has changed my life ( maybe a little embellishment) BUT i will be saving hundreds on salon prices from now on

I recently wanted to dye my hair but I was scared because of all the ammonia in some of the products, but when Olia by Garnier came out I just couldn't wait. I bought the blonde lightest shade. It turned out really well other than the fact that my ends had a greenish tinge to them and were almost see-through. (I had bleached my ends a couple months before hand).

I love the way my hair turns out when I use Olia! It doesn't dry my hair out as much as other brands out there, probably because it is oil based. The results also look really vibrant, as I typically go for the burgandy color. I definitely recommend this product.

This product was amazing. The colour I used turned out very rich looking and natural. I was extremely happy with the results. The colour lasted a long time. I would definitely use this product again!

We dyed my daughter's hair the other day with this new Olia hair dye from Garnier. We loved the fact that there were no drips. It didn't have a horrid smell like some other dyes. The color was good. The gloves were very cheap however & actually ripped. That was a first. I also found that even using the conditioner provided, her hair was kind of dried out.

Most of you have probably heard of Garnier's Olia permanent ammonia free hair dye by now.
There are tons and tons of mixed reviews I have read and I figured the only way to figure it out is to try it myself! So here I am testing out this randomly rated product. I bought this in black-FIGURES!I wish they had blue black which is the current color I like to use but their selection isn't the greatest. I paid a whopping $11.99 for this which is just crazy but I was thinking maybe this product would be worth it?
This dye includes a basic hair color kit. This does contain the developer and the colorant in different tubes to mix into the bottle rather then it usually coming with one in the bottle.Makes me feel like all those people who get to buy dye from Sallys and mix it all up! lol. No Sallys around my area =(. Then the after care conditioner, I have yet to actually like any of these that come with box dyes.
It's about DAMN time they came up with an applicator bottle that was perfect! Apparently that was a difficult thing to do! But Garnier takes the cake in this contest. The bottle was very easy to hold and with the end on the applicator it really gives you the precision you need with getting in the roots.
    PROS:
*This product is super thick, fells like I was using conditioner to dye my hair which was great for no drips or splattering dye on my wall or floors.
*NO horrible dye smell! That was one of my top loves of this product. There is a faint floral scent that is pleasant but I barely noticed it so it wasn't over powering, no need for the bathroom fan on or window to be open!
*The applicator! It was pretty much perfect, easy to squeeze the product out and super easy to do roots with the nice tapered off end.
*Didn't get the total straw like feel when washing dye out.

    CONS:
*Pricy. Is this justifiable with the fact there isn't that horrid ammonia smell you must smell for a good hour??
*Maybe it was a tad too thick? I did have a couple spots on my head after washing the dye out and blow drying that I might have applied too much to that area and I had to blot with a kleenex.
    *Not a huge color selection.
    *The conditioner was terrible.

Okay so they claim to reverse dullness, roughness for softer shiner hair with bounce. Meh. I didn't think it gave my hair any extra anything other then some refreshed color. I have soft hair to begin with so maybe that's why I didn't have amazing results.

The total time to apply was almost 15 minutes, I do use a brush to make sure I get all of the dye on my hair so that takes longer. You wait 30 minutes for dye to process.

So what do I really think? The color was nice, not crazy shiny black which I always like to see. I did use the conditioner that came with the box that I never do but since I chopped off all my hair I figured what the hell does it matter anyways, well that did not condition my hair in the least bit but I guess I knew that. The process was a bit easier since there was no dripping, I did get some dye on my skin and when I wiped it off at the end I found the same amount of staining on my skin as usual. I loved the no chemical smell but I didn't find my hair to feel like it was not abused by being dyed. I am super curious to see how long the color lasts before I need to redye.
The price is a bit much but I think I would purchase again especially if this was on sale, I just wish the selection was bigger but maybe they will broaden that later. Olia didn't give me any better color then most other dye's I have used previously.

There has been so much hype on commercials and in-store displays about this new hair dye that I had to give this hair color a try.I decided to try light blonde.I was hoping they had a ash blonde but I'm still very happy with the results.

The bottle is genius its rounded near the bottom and tapers off into a thin spout at the top so its very easy to get at roots. It has a velvety creamy texture and has a really lovely floral scent with no ammonia added! It has 60 % oil blend with natural flower oils.

My hair really feels restored and not dry and damaged like a few dyes have done to my hair in the past.It also covered my grays perfectly.I really feel like the oil blend has gotten deep into my hair cuticles and my hair is so shiny and healthy looking. This is my new favorite hair dye a little pricey but worth it!
