As the weather gets colder, I’ve been reaching for drinks that bring a little warmth and energy and Gingerbug absolutely delivered. I tried all three flavors — Original, Dry, and Spicy — and each one offers its own twist on that signature ginger kick.
The Original is bright and refreshing, perfectly balanced between citrusy lemon and the zing of fresh ginger. The Dry version is crisp and light, with fewer calories but still full of flavor, ideal if you like a cleaner taste. My personal favorite, the Spicy, packs a bold punch of ginger heat that feels like a cozy, fiery hug in a bottle. Perfect for chilly days.
Beyond the taste, I love that Gingerbug is organic, prebiotic, gluten-free, and Canadian-made 🇨🇦. It’s not just a soda alternative; it’s a feel-good, gut-friendly drink that makes you feel refreshed and nourished.

This Soda Actually Makes Me Feel Good!

I’ve been trying Gingerbug lately, and I’m really impressed. It’s lightly fizzy, naturally sweet, and has such a fresh taste. I love that it’s made with real ingredients and includes plant-based prebiotics, my digestion feels better, and it doesn’t taste in a boring way at all. I especially like the smooth one. It’s the perfect soda alternative if you want something tasty and good for you.

I absolutely love everything about this drink. It’s a ginger beer in different flavours to meet everyone’s taste and it’s also healthy for your gut! That’s a win win in my book. I love a drink that I can have whenever I want without the worrying about how it affects my body negatively.

Delicious and Perfect for Cravings!

This is absolutely my new favourite ginger drink! I love that the flavour options are diverse but all still real ginger. The different types hit different cravings perfectly. The dry/low sugar flavour is the first sparkling drink I’ve had that has fulfilled my desire for a pop that is full in flavour (unlike sparkling waters), but also isn’t sweet or artificially sweet like a regular pop. The rich flavours taste like real ginger and I would take this over any ginger ale any day! The cherry on top is that it has health benefits due to its bio ingredients. It’s an uncommon experience to feel better after enjoying a little treat, but these drinks make you feel just that. Nausea and stomach pain can be helped by the ginger and there’s just something so fresh about them, too! I’ll definitely be on the lookout to buy these again!

Your feel good Prebiotic Ginger Soda

My family loves the gingerbug selection. We tried the dry-low sugar, smooth and spicy ones and each of us preferred a different one. We love to know it’s made in Canada, low in sugar and packed with plant-based prebiotics. It’s very flavourful and refreshing! We strongly recommend Gingerbug.

Spicy and Satisfying

I am always looking for new, non-alcoholic, and refreshing beverage options so I was super excited to be sent some from Gingerbug to try. If you like ginger, you'll want to give this a try. With a *spicy* option for those who like more kick and a "dry" low sugar (but still very tasty) option as well. My favourite was the original Smooth Ginger beer. With half the calories and sugar of typical ginger sodas, plus plant-based prebiotics, Gingerbug is a great choice!

Yes please

I am someone with a weakness for soda, anything a little fizzy is my favourite way to relax but it's not all that good for me. I love that these give me the fizz I love and are also benefiting my gut and filling it with prebiotics instead of artificial sweeteners and dyes!

Great alternative

These ginger beers are great assortment of flavours and taste. I like that they’re not as strong and our low sugar and filled with prebiotics. They’re not personally my favourite ginger beer on the market, but I can see where the flavours can really be appealing for many.

A Canadian-made prebiotic soda that’s supposed to be good for your gut and actually taste good.

I really wanted to love these, and while they weren’t totally for me, I do love what they stand for.

They’re made with real, plant-based ingredients, no artificial sweeteners, and packed with prebiotics to support digestion and gut health

All big wins in my books!

Taste-wise, the low sugar one was flat on flavor, and the spicy one had a strong bite I couldn’t get into. The Smooth flavour was definitely the best of the three — refreshing, light, and more balanced — but still not something I’d reach for again.

I genuinely respect the clean ingredients, the mission behind the brand, and that it’s Canadian-made. It just didn’t hit my personal taste preferences.

Surprisingly delicious!

I'm going to be honest, I was nervous to try these ginger drinks! I was expecting a very strong, overpowering ginger taste (like you'd get from one of those healthy ginger shots) but that's not the case at all! They tasted like your average ginger-ale soda, which I love! Even the "spicy" one had a nice little kick and didn't burn or taste unpleasant.
