This is one of the most reasonably priced boar bristle brushes I've seen, but I have to say while maybe it's just that I have short hair (pixie length), but I wouldn't recommend this unless you have particularly thick hair. I've always wondered why hairbrushes had those little balls on the end of the spokes and now thanks to this brush, I know why. The Nylon bristles on this are lacking those and when used on my short (though quite thick) hair, it's a bit uncomfortable on the scalp as it scrapes it. For those with sensitive scalps, this might be even more painful.

There was also a strong smell to it (maybe the boar hair), but after a few days that dissapated.

I'm not sure I buy into all the hype about boar hair brushes, but I do have to admit that I noticed my hair became greasy slower over the time I've been using this brush. I like that it has a hole to thread a fabric loop for hanging through (or just hang it straight through the hole) and the handle is comfortable to hold and use the brush.

If they'd add something to stop the Nylon bristles scratching, this would be perfect!
