I tried similar products when I was in my 20"s and found them to be excellent for lightening my naturally blond hair, however at 50+ and with my hair being coloured I'm afraid that all this product did for me was begin to wash out my hair colour. It seems it was not meant for colour treated hair.

I'm not even blonde and I love using this shampoo/conditioner in the summer. It subtly lightens my hair and doesn't make it brassy. Plus it smells great and you can often get it on sale at SDM!

This is a good shampoo that leaves my hair feeling soft and silky. It doesn't weigh down your hair and smells surprisingly good for a product that has ingredients that permanently lighten your hair. I found the Go Blonder Controlled Lightening Spray provided more immediate results but this is still a good product if you want to just maintain your blonde look.

Great product. works great on my hair. leave my hair feeling soft with a vibrant colour than before. smells really good to.

Product works as promised and has a nice effect on hair. Also smells really nice. Because its little pricey I would probably choose to use it in winter months, as in summer sun will lighten my hair anyways :)
But overall another good product from John Frieda!

This shampoo works great! It visibly lightens your hair with just one use. If you continue using it you can see a big difference. Great product overall.

I noticed a difference after the first wash. My hair seemed noticeably lighter and felt great.
