This is the best ever shampoo I have ever even heard of. Ever. It truly is "healing" my dry hair and it happens to be really good on my skin too. Since I have extremely dry 4b/4c (tight, kinky, curly) hair, I have been spending too much money on a a variety of products to care for it. I've had to layer the use of shampoo, conditioner and then a leave-in. With this bar, I am able to use just the shampoo and a wash-out or leave-in - one or the other. I can tell after a few washes that I might actually soon be able to use just the shampoo bar and some scalp moisturizer. This makes my hair very clean, yet very soft at the same time. This "moisturizing" formula might be too rich for other hair types, so it's great that J.R. Liggett's has different formulas. The other thing that I am loving about this is the price.The 2 formulas I got (Moisturizing & Original) were under $7 with Amazon Prime (although you might have to order in bulk or get this as an "add-on" to other orders). I can tell from my use so far that the bar really is going to last me as long as a medium-sized bottle of shampoo but, even so, it's worth twice the price. For one thing, I will be saving a lot of money on conditioners and leave-in aftercare hair products; for another, I am actually seeing great results with my hair. The smell is very pleasant (although I didn't notice any lingering aroma) and the lather is good. The best thing is that this doubles as a body soap for me. Another thing I noticed is that it takes just a little bit of this too work after the second or third use. It's as though my hair had to get used to it. I wish I had heard of this before. From now on, I am going to be stocking up on this because I don't plan to use anything else on my hair in the future. I have already cut up pieces to share with friends who wear "natural" afro hair like I do. I am waiting to see how my friends with different hair types like this.
