Although this product does work and gives you a flawless finish, i wouldn't recommend it for people with dry skin as it dries it out even more.
Not the greatest out there but may work for some people.
I have combination/oily skin and this product even made my oily skin look dry and dehydrated! It does an okay job of covering imperfections and the coverage is okay, but the color selection is not great and also it tends to look flaky and just sits on the skin, does not last long and it makes skin look very dry and unattractive. It may work for some people but it just didn't for me.
This mousse makes my skin look dehydrated and flaky. Admittedly I have dry skin, and this product does whatever it can to enhance it. I've tried pretty much every drugstore brand foundation there is (wasting a lot of $$ in the process) to finally come to this conclusion: Go to sephora and buy something that you'll actually use, that will suit your skin tone and type perfectly, and if it doesn't you can take it back without a fuss. In the long run I find shelling out avg $50 for a foundation proves to be less expensive then trying several avg $15 drugstore brand foundations.
I really just could not get this foundation to work for me. I tried all methods of tools and application techniques but just could not get this to work. This foundation accentuated dry patches like crazy. Even on good skin I found it too cakey no matter how thin a layer I tried to put. It did a great job of filling in my pores to give the allusion of smoother skin but on dry skin it just really didn't work.
This foundation is buildable but it can get cakey very easily. I think someone with more normal skin (I have combination) might appreciate this foundation more. It does mattify your skin so those who aren't very oily may forgo powder.
I bought this foundation for the simple reason that everyone loved it! When I was researching the product before I bought it, everyone said it was amazing, easy to apply and natural looking. This was not at all the case for me, I have dry skin, so going into this I knew that it might not work out for me, but I went into it with an open mind. This foundation looked flaky and looked as if I has 6 tons of foundation on my face, it also made my blemish's and pores look bigger. All and all, If you have dry skin, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS FOR YOU, but if you have combination to oily skin. This might work for you.
I like how soft it felt, but it wasn't a great foundation. It's not bad, but it wasn't as amazing as i expected it to be. I didn't use it alot, but one of my friend wore it everyday and it made her break out like crazy. I prefer tinted moisturizers.
I accepted this to work wonders on my skin, but it didn't! I have a medium -dark completion so this was not the right consistence for my skin type, it just didn't blend correctly.
Price: Could get better for the price. The way my friends told me about it made me want to try it out,but yeah it wasn't worth it. The container is still 3/4 full somewhere in my bedroom.
Quality: Well,it does cover up quite well, but it makes your face feel like you have thick make up on.
The main way to apply it is by using your fingers, which at the end leaves a smudgy effect, like layering cake,if you do not take your time to blend it.It doesn't look natural, too much like a dolly.
Effectiveness: It doesn't cover up pores really effectively
I decided to give this foundation a try. I wear powder makeup so I usually like to put a bit of foundation underneath of the powder to get a bit more coverage. I thought I would try this stuff.
When I first opened it, I was disappointed in the color immediately. I kind of knew it wasn't going to match my skin tone but it was the closest I could find. The selection of colors was horrible.
When I put it on, it looked more like a bronzer than anything, which was not at all what I was looking for.
It was MUCH to matte looking and extremely noticeable on my face. It also had a really orangy look to it for some reason.
I am really disappointed because I love Maybelline's mascara but this foundation was just bad.
I'm just happy I got it for free and definitely wouldn't waste my money on it or recommend it. I would recommend Trublend over this anyday and Trublend is cheaper!
