I bought Dream Matte Mousse because it was on sale & a few of my friends used it. I was pretty disappointed. I'll start with the good parts. The color matched better than my current foundation, & better than a few others I've tried. It really didn't take much to apply to my entire face. The price was average. But, on the bad side, it felt VERY clumpy & grainy. I thought it was just while I was applying it but through the day I kept feeling that I had it on & it was irritating. When I touched myself it felt pretty smooth but there was definitely graininess. It was also VERY heavy. I would've been able to deal with it during the winter, but it was summer & heavy foundation doesn't work out in the summer. Too bad, I really enjoyed the color.
I think this is eithet a hit or miss product. I personally did not like this product at all. I am very fair skinned and although it came close it was far away from my tone that you could notice that i was wearing makeup.
The worst thing for me with this makeup is that i felt like I was applying food to my face. I dont know if that part of it made me feel like it was too thick, or if it really was. Regardless I felt like my foundation was very 'cakey' which is not a comfortable way to feel, atleast not to me.
Also, compared to other foundations this container didnt last very long, likely because much of the product is actually air which has been fluffed into the makeup.
I know somepeople who really love this makeup and appreaciate its texture and thickness. If you are looking for a very heavy foundation this is likely a good option for you to try.
This product really goes on smooth and airsoft. But this is not long lasting. Also you cant wear it when it's a bit hot/warm. It starts going of!
After using this for some 1 month I came to conclusion that this was the cause of my breakout. Then I came back to my fav. Loreal and breakouts dissapear.
After some half a year I again decided to give it a try - and again the same problem. This is pore clogging. So if your face is acne prone - don't even buy this.
All I can say is that it is very annoying to put this product on every morning because your fingers get all dirty from the "mousse" and using a sponge is not plausible in this case. The coverage is okay and it lasts the whole day, however the range of colours is horrible! I could not find one to match my tan/asian skin tone, so I had to settle for something slightly lighter. I just bought the revlon new complexion compact makeup, so I only use the mousse on occasion. I would not suggest someone to buy it.
i was so dissapointed with this foundation!!! after hearing all the hype about all these new mousse makeups i had to try one. Not only did it looks cakey but it looked a little too orangy too, though maybe that was from my poor choice in shades. It dosn't stay on for all that long either....all and all its not worth your money.
This foundation looked cakey on my face. I saw a picture of myself that someone took one night I wore this foundation , that's how you know how you really look!
It didn't look good on me, I use Bare Escentuals and I like it . I do however- know alot of people that use this and love it.
When I first bought this a year ago, I was amazed at how well it covered up my somewhat-blotchy skin. And sometimes, I still do love it for that. However, I've found that it's absolutely horrible for hiding bad acne, and at school I have to reapply at the end of every class, because it fades that fast! It feels nice and all, and looks amazing right after applying, but it hardly lasts and overall leaves you frustrated.
Big :( face.
this product is just "eh". i happen to love covergirl's trublend foundation. if im gonna use cheap foundation that is the way to go. as another review mentioned, this product can get cakey. it does however have a very silky feel.
I am not a real big fan of this product. The texture actually leaves something to be desired. It isn't thick enough to cover the rough spots, but is too heavy for all-over use. I have slightly olive skin, and this product seems to dry way to orangy to blend with my skin.
