I really liked this! I use this on my face daily since receiving it and it blends very well! It covers my face without it feeling heavy as with other foundation.

Some are too powdery, some too watery - providing me with either little or cakey coverage, and most times not allowing my skin to breathe. Maybelline's New York Dream Velvet Foundation is different. It delivers on its promises: a beautiful matte finish, velvety smooth application, with the perfect amount of hydration that doesn't dry out my skin.

This is definitely an improvement from my last foundation and concealer, and has become its replacement as it provides decent coverage on under eyes and imperfections, and evens out my skin tone. My favourite part of it is the matte finish; it's unique and a rare find that makes your skin look like it's out of a beauty ad. As a student, I get many sleepless nights and this foundation helps combat those tired eyes, giving life to my skin and a vibrancy. This foundation can be applied heavier or lighter, but I prefer a light application to give a more natural look.

This foundation is pricier than most foundations, especially for the small amount you get. That being said, a tiny dollop of foundation can cover your entire face, making it last. The only thing that would deter me from purchasing this again is the high price tag, but otherwise I find this to be a nearly flawless product.

So first things first, I was expecting this foundation to be super light and super matte. At first glance, I was a bit worried about how thick it was, and was wary of what it would do to the oil balance of my skin.

The foundation is light and mousse-like, and applied surprisingly thinly, and gave me a light to medium coverage. I found that with this foundation, I had to use more, as the foundation dried quickly. It was cool to the touch, and I did feel an initial hydrating sensation, but it didn't last for the whole day. I found this foundation to be a bit too cakey for my taste, and it did wear off and clumped in dry patches. The soft matte finish wasn't as matte as I expected, and it really made me oily, sadly. I wouldn't really recommend this foundation for summer, and maybe for really normal-type skin people, definitely not oily or dry.

J'ai eu la chance de tester ce produit gratuitement grâce au banc d'essai de Chickadvisor. Au début je craignais que la couleur ne soit pas la bonne pour ma couleur de peau car d'habitude quand j'achète du fond de teint au magasin, je peux le tester directement sur ma peau....mais quel surprise, ce fut vraiment la couleur parfaite pour l'hiver car en été je dois prendre une teinte plus foncée...au départ j'ai A-D-O-R-É ce produit, sa texture, il s'absorbe rapidement, il ne laisse pas de sensation collante ni grasse, il cache très bien les imperfections et uniformise le teint de la peau...cependant après quelques jours d'utilisation j'ai remarqué que ma peau avait beaucoup d'acné et de brillance :( je ne sais pas si c'est directement relié à l'utilisation du fond de teint Maybelline New York Velvet mais j'étais déçue...je ne sais donc pas si je devrais continuer à l'acheter....pour l'instant je ne le mets que 2 ou 3 fois par semaine en alternance avec mon ancien fond de teint de Revlon

I was selected to review the Maybelline Dream Velvet foundation. I find the tube a convenient size and easy to handle. The foundation goes on very smooth and was easy to blend in. I found it covered very well and didny show any imperfections. I woukd definitely recommend the Dream Velvet foundation.

The Maybelline New York Dream Velvet Foundation was very smooth and easy to apply. I have red spots on my face and this foundation did a great job at covering it up. It left my face feeling smooth and did not irratate my skin at all. I would recommend this foundation.

very nice consistency. absolutely love how it glides on to your skin. the coverage is great for me and its definetly a buildable foundation. love the way it makes my skin look and feel

This stuff is awesome. I'm very pale.. (like Casper pale) and this blends really well so that the coverage is smooth without turning me into a fun shade or brown/orange.
