Before other nail polish brands came out with matte, NYC here had this product.. Walmart would sell this for 2 for $3 and I would stock up.. down to my last bottle I’m really sad because I no longer see that ender at Walmart with all the NYC products. This polish works and it was great.. especially the price compared to everything selling matte polishes. I still do recommend this and I would tell anyone who sees it to buy as much as they can if they’re a matte lover.

Great inexpensive matte top coat

I paint my nails often and love a good matte look. This is my go to matte top coat for a couple of reasons. First of all, it is very easy to apply - a few quick swipes and you're done. It dries down pretty fast which is nice because a matte topcoat shows smudges and imprints more than a shinny one. It has a nice satin/matte finish that feels soft to the touch It doesn't dry out in the bottle quickly so it will last sitting in your drawer for a while. A big con though is, like most matte topcoats, it chips really fast. I usually get maybe 2 days before it needs a touch up because I wash my hands often. For the price though (so inexpensive!) I'll continue to buy it and recommend it. 

This product does what it states (makes any nail colour matte) and for a decent price. It's not anything to write home about, but it's okay. I don't think it extends the wear of any polish.

This product is extremely mediocre in quality. It does the job, but not as well as it could.

NYC is a very price-friendly brand, and they offer a very average product for your money.

This top coat does mattify, and it does protect your color coat. However, it doesn't brush on evenly, leaving some areas shinier than others. The lasting power isn't much different than other products of similar value, it typically provides three or four chip free days. Dry time is also fairly standard.

If you are looking for a fast drying matte top coat to put over top of your manicure to give your nails a different look (think dull) then this is for you! It applies smoothly, dries quickly, and does the job. The one thing I didn't like about the product is that your mani only last a day once this topcoat is applied. I often times apply it to a 2 day old existing manicure for a new look mid-week before changing my manicure all together.
