I like the heat protection!

I wasn’t sure if the serum had a specific effect. I applied it to my hair after towel drying. The good thing is it didn’t make my hair and scalp oily. I often skip hair products aside from shampoo and conditioner because it can weigh down my fine hair, and make my scalp oilier faster. But, this one was good about not adding heaviness to my hair. It also offers heat protection so no need to use a separate product if you’re heat styling. I suspect that it helped seal my hair strands, and so the subsequent times I used the shampoo and conditioner, my hair kept getting better!

Hello healthier looking hair!

Thank you Butterly for the opportunity to try the OGX Bond Protein Repair Sealing Serum for free! In the short time that I’ve been using this serum, it’s already become a game-changer for my heat-damaged hair. I was using this in conjunction with my regular shampoo and conditioner; however, the complete line includes a pre-shampoo, shampoo, conditioner, and 3-in-1 oil mist. This serum has a lightweight, non-greasy formula that instantly made my hair softer and smoother without weighing it down. I was exclusively using this on damp hair and then styling as normal, which included blow drying and sometimes straightening. The ends of my hair, which were previously dry and frizzy, looked healthier and the dead ends were less noticeable. I wasn’t a fan of the strong botanical smell, I could tolerate it, but would have preferred if the serum had a different scent or wasn’t as strong. I don’t think this would stop me from trying the other products, as I’m intrigued to see how restored my damaged strands would be if I used the entire line. Fabulous scent

According to the packaging:

This formula is a gel like consistency that feels slightly sticky in my hands. A minimal amount of serum is needed. 

The best part about this product is the scent. It smells fantastic. Sometimes the scent of products take some time to grow on me, but I liked this one right away. 


I applied the serum after I washed my hair. Even though the serum felt sticky in my hands, it felt fine in my hair. 

The next morning my hair did feel smoother than usual. There also appeared to be less frizz than usual. 

I did also try it when my hair was dry. It's easy to run a little bit of serum through out your hair during the day for a quick touch up. 


I will keep using this serum and might even purchase the shampoo and conditioner from the Bond Protein Repair line, so I can use them all together.

A really nice - great smelling hair serum

Really enjoyed using this on wet hair no styling tools, smelled nice and was a nice texture. I did use ALOT because my hair is very thick and the serum wasn’t as easily spreadable as an oil but I like that I could tell where it was and where it wasn’t! Plus it didn’t leave me looking oily at all. I think you get the benefits of it when using quite a bit, my hair is right above my shoulder so quite short but super thick and I used like 8 pumps? Ya. Smells great!

Repair for damaged dry hair

I received this product free from @Butterly.com for my honest opinion.

This hair smoothing serum multi tasks to revitalize dry, damaged and frizzy hair and is
formulated without Parabens or dyes and is a clear gel substance. It has a pleasant fresh light scent, which does linger on your hair.

This strengthening hair serum delivers smoother stronger hair after five uses resulting in beautiful, healthy looking hair. In the evening I applied a small amount of the hair serum in my hands, rubbed them together, & applied evenly to dry hair working from the ends upward. You can also apply to damp hair as well, there is no need to rinse it off.

I applied this serum on both dry and damp hair. I did not like the results on dry hair, on the next day my hair was less fly away (frizzy) but appeared greasy. When I applied this serum on damp hair, when dried I found the results noticeably improved and flyaway dry strands were tamed, leaving my hair soft. Definitely liked the results when used on damp hair.

OGX is an amazing brand for hair care! I really liked this hair serum! It felt great in my hair. It worked well for me as my hair is a bit damaged from colour and it seemed to help with damage. I may need a bit more time to test it out to see more results!

Helps eliminate frizz

I've been using the OGX Bond Protein Repair shampoo, conditioner, and sealing serum for a week weeks now, and I'm generally pleased with the results. My hair, which is fine and prone to breakage, definitely feels stronger and smoother. I've noticed less shedding and fewer split ends, which is a major win!
The shampoo lathers nicely and cleanses without stripping my hair completely. The conditioner is rich and moisturizing, leaving my hair feeling soft and manageable. And the sealing serum adds a nice shine and helps to tame frizz. I appreciate that the products contain protein, and contains no parabins as my hair seems to respond well to it.
The scent is pleasant. My only minor gripe is that the conditioner, while moisturizing, isn't quite as intensely hydrating as I'd like for my dry ends.
Overall, I think this is a solid option for anyone looking to strengthen and repair damaged hair. It's definitely improved the overall health and appearance of my hair, and I'd recommend it to others. . I'm giving it 4 stars because while it's good, it does not provide healthier hair in one wash as it claims.but it is absolutely perfect for my specific hair needs.

CLAIMS: 2× smoother & up to 5× stronger hair after 5 washes. After several uses, I agree it’s worth the hype. Lightweight non-greasy gel serum adds some slip to the hair. Made brushing through tangles a breeze. A minor issue is the fragrant scent. I find it not bothersome, however quite noticeable, so could an issue to some. Does a fantastic job making my hair soft and frizz free. I would love to see a fragrance/ scent-free version for those with sensitivities.
