Iron is one of the things I care about the most for my child. I know how important iron levels are, both for adults and especially for babies and young kids. I always try to choose products that really support healthy blood levels.

Iron supplement for toddler

When first opened the bottle the lemon smell was very strong. I really wish this was unflavoured or had a kid-friendly flavour like bubble gum. I tried giving it with the enclosed syringe but my toddler hated it and tried to spit it out saying:”Yucky, tastes bad.” Diluting it in water helped the smell a bit but it tinted the water and taste of iron was present. After trying a few ways, mixing it into food works best for us. The product itself does the job but getting the toddler to actually take it is definitely a challenge because of the taste.

Great infant iron supplement!

My 1 year old isn’t a big eater and to make things worse; she’s been unwell these past few weeks and hasn’t eaten much. My grandson looked forward to taking his "medicine" every night. I am not sure what I should be looking for in terms of whether this is a good product or not. He is too young to verbalize if it is making him feel any different. I have heard that iron supplements are very good for brain development. I guess what I am saying is that this survey should be completed withing 3 years NOT 3 weeks.
