Essential for added iron

PediaFER made giving my child extra iron very easy with their handy dropper, and the lemon flavour helped as well! I can be restrained assured knowing my child is getting the extra iron they need.

Our whole family has low Iron and it's no surprise that my child's iron is quite low as well. I was happy to try this great new product and while I have no definitive proof, I can see the energy levels coming back up since introducing this to my child.

I used PediaFer™ Iron Supplement for my baby and overall found it to be a helpful product for supporting iron intake. I like that it’s specifically made for infants and toddlers, and the liquid form makes dosing easy with the dropper provided.

The lemon flavour helps somewhat, but the taste is still strong and may be difficult for some babies to take. I found mixing it with a small amount of food or drink helped. Like many iron supplements, it can stain fabrics and may temporarily stain teeth, so care is needed during administration.

Despite those minor drawbacks, it does what it’s meant to do and was recommended for maintaining healthy iron levels. I would recommend it to other parents who need an iron supplement for their little one, especially with guidance from a pediatrician.

My kids did not enjoy this!

PediaFer™ Iron Supplement needs to improve the taste - my kids were not fans which resulted in them not wanting to repeat use. The product also stains clothing which does not come out in the laundry.
Although very easy to administer with the dropper that has very clear markings which makes measuring and administering the precise dose simple. I love that the dropper stores inside the bottle so I don't have to go looking for dropper or wash it after each use.
It did not cause any discomfort or adverse side effects with my kids.

Does the Job, but Be Prepared for the Mess

Reason for Purchase: Our paediatrician recommended iron supplementation to help prevent iron deficiency.

Thoughts:
1. Effectiveness: From a health standpoint, it seems to do what it is supposed to do, and we have continued using it as advised by our paediatrician.
2. Taste Tolerance: The lemon flavor is just okay. My child does take it now, but there was some gagging early on. That said, it is still more tolerable than other iron supplements we tried that tasted like intense cough syrup.
3. Ease of Dosing: The included dropper allows for accurate measurement and is convenient to store inside the bottle. We eventually switched to disposable 1 mL syringes, which made daily dosing much easier and less messy.
4. Comparison to Alternatives: I appreciate that this product does not contain alcohol, which some other iron supplements surprisingly do. Overall, it is a better option than several “yummy” versions that turned out to be worse.
5. Major Downside Staining: This stains absolutely everything it touches — clothes, bibs, skin, and surfaces. Once it stains, it is nearly impossible to remove, even with stain removers like Tide To Go.
6. Long-Term Use Reality: We have been using it consistently without major issues, but the staining means you have to be extremely careful every single time it is given.
7. Overall Impression: It works and my child takes it, which is important, but the staining alone makes it difficult to fully recommend without reservations.

Bad taste & smell, but it works!

PediaFer iron drops are so easy to use as they come with the dropper. The smell and taste are pretty bad but mixing it in with food definitely helps, and the baby doesn’t notice it then. The iron supplements have improved my baby’s iron count & we are very happy with the results! I would definitely recommend if you’re looking for an effective, easy to use iron supplement for your child.

Easy iron additive for children

The easy to use dropper is great for measuring the amount needed, no fuss. I need to add it to juice since the flavour is not pleasant for my child, need to disguise the taste. I think it’s effective in adding iron to my child’s body , right dosage for daily intake. We will see what the doctor has to say at our next check up. I received this product in a free trail.

I absolutely loved trying the PediaFer Iron Supplement for my kids. The dropper included in the box made it so easy to quickly add the drops into their mouths. The kids enjoyed the lemon flavor. Overall, I would recommend trying the IronFer Iron Supplement.

Most iron supplements taste horrible and have some side effects, the easiest way is to have a shot or IV, that is not available OTC. This is a decent attempt at an oral administrative. It does stain, so be prepared.
