    The best one yet

Pokemon Sun and Moon, the latest iteration in the 20-year-old monster-battling franchise, provides some of the biggest and most welcome changes to the series yet. While the story is disappointing, the core catch-'em-all gameplay shows how the simple concept of "capture Pokemon, level up Pokemon, and beat the bleep out of other people's Pokemon" has endured for two decades.

It's an okay game.. for kids.

This game has many of the features pokemon fans have come to love with a few changes. The biggest fault in this game however is the intense handholding of the player. This game doesnt make anything a challenge, and would probably be more enjoyed by children and younger players. I'm not a fan of many of the added features, including the pelago area- I know many like it but I find it to be a cheat in the game. It makes things WAY too simple. I also didnt like how after battles you have to clean up your pokemon... maybe that is something that again children would enjoy doing (reminds me of the DS pets games.. where you have a virtual pet). The most annoying feature however has to be the pokedex.

    It is really fun

I have spent hours (okay months) on this game. It is really fun and there is a lot to do even if you forget your main mission. Tons of Pokemon to find and also can trade with friends or people online. I have played both sun and moon and love both.

Sun and Moon are a great new entry in the ongoing Pokemon Franchise. Like the previous X and Y, they take their cue from real life places, meaning the world feels more real and fleshed out than ever before. This time instead of a heavy Euro feel with a French inspiration, Pokemon Moon Takes us to Alola, a Polynesian inspired island setting.

I didn't expect to enjoy the Alola setting as much (I'm a fan of the rain), but honestly, the Island atmosphere got me psyched just because the people were so friendly and nice throughout the game. Replacing the gym system with a 'Trials' was a great idea as the same formula over and over can become a little stale, but when it comes down to it, it's not actually drastically different from the other Pokemon titles.

If you love Pokemon, you'll love this. There are a few welcomes changes, such as the elimination of HM moves. They've been replaced with 'Ride Pokemon' that give you different abilities, which means you don't need to cart around an HM mule anymore. Many of the changes are simplified and they do make the game feel easier and more beginner accessible, but as always with Pokemon you can put as much (or as little) into it as you want.

I went for the Moon title and bought Sun for my husband and so far neither of us have any regrets. A great title for kids and adult fans of Pokemon alike!

Protip: Look up what haircut and colour you want online before you waste your Pokedollars as this game (like previous) does not allow you to see your Style before it's complete.
