President's Choice Blue Menu Italian Lasagna

We had this lasagna for dinner last night, and I have to say, we really enjoyed it! Lower sodium, with just the right amount of layered pasta, meat, and sauce. We added a little bit more shredded mozzarella cheese at the last 15 minutes of cooking. I was impressed the lasagna was not sitting in excess liquid after cooking like most frozen lasagnas do. Served with a side salad and a toasted French baguette with butter, minced garlic and parsley made a perfect pair to complete a delicious meal. Bon appetite!

This definitely tastes like it comes out of a box. While it's convenient and you don't have to do anything except put it in the oven, sacrificing the flavour is not something I'm willing to do. Homemade lasagna all the way!

I love lasagna. Homemade lasagna that is. Every time I try a store bought frozen lasagna I am sorely disappointed. There is usually about 7 layers of mushy noodles and hardly and sauce or meat. But then I discovered PC frozen lasagna, either the Blue Menu or regular. For once there is enough sauce and meat to make me say "I need garlic toast to help sop up the liquid." It tastes great and feels even better for my wallet when it is on sale for $9.99. The only thing against it is that I think it needs more cheese. So I add my own. After all, nothing has enough cheese for me. Homemade is best but this is a great substitute.
