I was psyched when I heard about no UV gel polish but this didn't live up to the hype. I have the birthday suit nail polish and I find that by day 3 or 4 I'm beginning to get spiderweb cracks throughout the nail polish. Not cute.
Absolutely love the colors available in this line.
My husband picked out Sally Hansen Miracle Gel in the color Tidal Wave because it resembles his favorite color Subaru blue. The only thing is when he picked it up he didn't realize this nail color was part of a two step system. With that being said I decided to try it without the top coat. I have to say I absolutely love the color. It's a nice, rich, vibrant cobalt blue that really pops.
Upon application I noticed the scent was unpleasant and toxic smelling. I also did not like the brush. I found it was way too thick made it awkward for me to apply. I have been accustomed to much smaller brushes and have mastered the technique with those but not with a thicker brush. Because of that I applied the polish messier than usual. I also found the polish went on too thick, especially considering the directions on the bottle tell you to use two coats and a topcoat. You would definitely have to swipe the brush around the rim of the bottle to get rid of excess nail color.
I found the polish went on thick but I still applied the second coat as recommended. It took a very long time to dry. Even after an hour wait I still ended up knicking my nails and smudging a few of them and needing to do touch ups. Although this is gel nail color it says no light needed on the bottle. I believe his claim may have been a little too good to be true and I was right. The polish was chipping off the next day to my disappointment. Especially considering my husband paid $9.99 at Shoppers Drugmart. Because I don't have the top coat that is the second step for this gel color I will definitely give it another go.
Although I absolutely loved the vibrant color I will probably not repurchase the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel because I don't like the brush and how thick it applies and that it takes forever to dry. Although this might be good for someone that has time to sit around and let their nails dry. It was not good for me as I have a toddler and a newborn that I'm constantly needing to chase after and pick up so I need something that dries quickly.
Not impressed
Unfortunately I was not impressed with the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Polish & Miracle Gel Top Coat. I gave it a fair try.. I thought it would really last at least a week without chipping but it was chipping on day two. Great color selection though.
Not as good as I had hoped
I was pumped to try this product. I have been looking for a good quality polish. The claim that my nails would look as though I had a fancy gel manicure done lured me in but I was sadly disappointed. The colour was fantastic and my nails looked great after two coats but unfortunately it didn't last long. I painted me nails in the evening and by the next morning I already had a chip and some cracks. Sadly I won't be using or purchasing this product in the future.
I always have shellac on my nails, and I get them done by a professional as I want them to last 3 weeks to a month. I saw the Sally Hanson Miracle Gel Polish that is described to last at least 14 days, stay shiny and not chips. I bought it thinking it sounded too good to be true - which unfortunately in my case, it was. It lasted three days before it was dulling and chipping off badly. I tried everything from putting extra layers of colour, minimal layers of colour, everything. I buffed my nails before and everything. Unfortunately this product didn't work for me. I will say, they do have a beautiful collection of colours!
I love the richness in their colours. Unfortunately I found that the polish did not stay on for the two weeks as advertised. I was having to touch up the chips after a weeks time.
J'avais hate d'essayer ce verni supposément très résistant et j'ai été très déçue. Il ne tient pas plus longtemps qu'un autre, coûte cher et les teintes ne sont même pas intéressantes.
I was so excited toe tr Sally Hansen miracle gel polish out. I wasn't happy it was clumpy and the brush was so different to use. It was a hassle. I had nail polish all over the place, the gel top coat was not as clumpy but I couldn't get use to the brush.
I wanted to like this product. I was so excited to try it out as I love getting shellac or gel on my nails at the salon. Unfortunately, even with ample drying time between coats I found my nails chipping within a day.
This is one of the worst nail polish i have used. it is runny and streaky and need about three coats to get full coverage. also it peels off very easily and has no staying power
