There is a reason why this is the number 1 primer. Wow, it is so good and feels great on the skin. It provides an excellent oil free base evendors if you just wear it on its own. I use it under foundation to avoid the cakey foundation look ad I have dry skin. It works wonders. I hate that it's so expensive for such a small tube - $44. Even though you don't need a lot, the tube is too small to justify the price. There are more and more primers on the market now so it will likely come down to price for me if I purchase again. $44 is just way too much money to spend even on the best primer.

I am personally a HUGE fan of Smashbox products. After testing out this primer, I have a few good things to report. Firstly, it does absorb very quickly into the skin, producing an ever layer (almost like a veil) on the face. Secondly, the texture is tolerable - it does have that obvious silicone feel to it, but it truly does make your skin feel soft to the touch. Third, it does have noticeable skin benefits. I have been using this primer alone, and under foundation for two weeks, and I have noticed that it hasn't caused any break outs, but it has managed to control excess sebum and oil on my face.

I wish I could afford to use this Smashbox primer every single day, but I've limited myself to special occasions since it is rather pricey. I love how smooth my skin feels when I use this primer as a base for my makeup. It feels like liquid silk between my fingers! I just love how well it works at keeping my makeup from melting off my face.

I have never really been a girl to wear much makeup, however as a bridesmaid in a wedding I was going to be dolled up from head to toe (including professional makeup). I am very pale, have combination skin and a somewhat uneven tone. Before she got to work one of the first things she applied to my face was this product, having never used a primer on myself before she told me all about it and the benefits of someone with my skin to start using it. She said it will provide a perfect setting base for the rest of the application to go on slick, smooth, and get full coverage on any tough spots. Well I owe her in a big way because she was right! Smashbox Photo Finish Primer is an amazing product. It was smooth, creamy, lightweight and did NOT dry out or breakout my skin at all, and It provided an amazing base for my concealer and foundation application.

I loved this product and will continue to buy it in the future. I might even try the one for redness next! :)

Very effective, very light, stays on long, makes makeup last all day, non greasy! I haven't found a great primer until now and I will definitely continue buying this product as its great. No harsh smells, and a soft satin touch!
