Not waterproof enough for a wedding
Lengthen my lashes like a dream. Look like my lashes was touching my eyebrow. Loved everything about it, except for the waterproof formula. Still in the hunt for a waterproof mascara that will last.
Meh...
I have fairly short eyelashes so I typically gravitate towards products that boast volumizing and lengthening (I usually wear eyelash extensions but am currently pregnant). I was eager to try this product because it's 4-in-1 with volumizing, lengthening, conditioning and curling properties.
While I will give it credit for conditioning and curling the lashes it didn't go much for lengthening and volumizing. I barely noticed a difference aside from darkening my lashes. Also, this product needs at least 2 coats to show any effect. I wear contacts so I give it credit for not irritating my eyes and for not caking under my lower lashes throughout the day. Very easy to wash off as well.
Honestly, I would save the $$$ and use a Maybelline mascara.
No thank you
I originally started using this product when I first began showing interest in makeup a few years back. I loved this product - I found it dried out very quickly though. My lashes were long and I was happy. I had noticed a lot of my lashes falling out over time and I figured that was just from putting makeup on then til I recommended it to my friend and she said she had the same problem. So I stopped buying it - I have naturally long lashes and I wanted to keep them that way.. and connected to my lash line as well.. I've been using an urban decay mascara which I love! However I figured I'd give Lights Camera Lashes another try (because I haven't had this problem with any other mascara so I figured it was just because it was a new thing to my lashes, as mentioned above) and once again they began falling out after a few uses. I wouldn't recommend this. Everyone is different but after having used different mascaras with no similar issue - plus t drying out so much, I will not be giving this another try.
I receive Tarte's lights camera action mascara as a sample with my order. There are many good reviews on the full-sized product so I was excited to try this one out. The packaging was unique and very cute, but the product itself didn't stand out from other mascaras. Tarte's products are pricier, but their products are vegan friendly and cruelty free so if you care about that, it is worth it. Well I do like some of their other products, this particular mascara was nothing too special. It flaked a little bit at the end of the day too, but I wonder if the full-size product is different from the sample size.
I’m Asian; sparse short eyelashes, and suffer from chronic smudging of all types of mascara. I was given a sample tube of the Tarte Lights Camera Lashes mascara, and at the time thought the product was amazing! The size of the tiny tube and the length of time I owned the sample must’ve made the formula less wet and clumpy, because the full sized version was NOTHING like the sample I was using.
The only good thing about this mascara in its full-sized version is that the packaging is cute. The product itself was clumpy upon using the product for the FIRST TIME. It wasn’t even that I owned the mascara for a few weeks—it was already clumping upon opening the product.
I own MANY types of mascara, and a lot of them I’ve gotten as freebies and samples. I regret buying this one so much.
I want to have faith that I received a bad batch of this after loyally purchasing this mascara for about a year but I have experienced horrible flakey lashes with the last three bottles I had. When I returned the second to last one to Sephora, both of my eyes were completely blood shot red from all of the flaking that had occurred throughout the day and this was a brand new bottle! I used to love this mascara and the natural ingredients Tarte made me fall in love with them for in addition to the perfectly textured formula that would go on effortlessly and surprisingly comparable to other more synthetic products. Very sad to have to say goodbye to this one from my makeup bag!
I mean this mascara was hyped up on youtube but honestly its not that good. Flakiest mascara i have ever used. It needs 3 coats to be up to my standards and im so disappointed in the effectiveness. i want a mascara that shows instant results.
This is a normal bristle wand with nice spacing so has to reduce clumping which I did enjoy. I found this formula to be a bit on the dry side and thus harder to build up and not get clumping if you wanted to try and get more volume and length. Overall I did not find this to be any different than its cheaper drugstore counterparts and would not purchase it again just for the fact that I didn't find the formula harder to work with and also dried out faster.
This mascara was nothing special to me. It was clumpy and did not volumize my lashes or give me extreme length. I will not be repurchasing this mascara there are better ones out there.
There is nothing really wrong with this mascara but I found that it did the same job as the $8 mascara at the drugstore. I suggest save your money and get one there. It added an ok amount of volume and the black was a good colour, did clump a bit.
