Not pigmented enough
I got this palette for 50$ from Sephora expecting gorgeous bright and super pigmented colors. What I got were muted eyeshadows that barely show up on my skin.
I've tried everything. I tried white eye primer, tried wetting the brush... nothing seems to work.
Glad this was limited edition.
This palette has more cons than pros. I am happy to know that nobody else will waste their money on this product. I bought this on sale, and even still I feel I could have gotten a better palette at the same price.
These shadows are chalky. The top layer needs to be completely scraped off before you see any color payoff. It muddies fast, and isn’t easy to blend. Total no. You expect beautiful brights and get dull pastels.
Poor application
For anyone that knows me knows that I love my palettes. Big and small. Any company and I will try it. Seeing the colour of this palette, I was HOOKED. I swatched it in store and it was decent so I bought it and headed home. Immediately took it out because who doesn't get excited over fresh palettes lol. The pigmentation was poor when I applied it. I used different primers and techniques and brushes, including the one that came with it and I was not impressed. I even tried adding layer after layer and nothing worthwhile really. Amazing colours but not worth it. I couldn't justify ever using a palette that gave me nothing so I was that person and returned it. It does have a great variety of colour which is why I gave it so many stars for the value.
I bought my urban decay full spectrum pallete from sephora online. When i bought it the pallete was on sale at a great price. I love it for the fact that it has alot of vibrant colors and it is quite pigmented.
I received this as a gift as a friend knows i'm a bit of a shadow fiend. I haven't played too much with it yet but have always found UD to offer great products. I generally use the bright colours as fun liners. I even checked it against the electric palette and really there's only one colour the looks like a copy - although they gave it a different name.
This product is good if you are willing to work with it a little bit. I like this palette because it had a wide range of colours and is not just full of different nude shades like a lot of palettes. The only major issue with this palette is that some colours are not as pigmented as others so you have to build them up a bit-which for me is no problem, but for someone else may be quite annoying. This product also works better when used over top of an eyeshadow primer.
