Voila - Sobeys convenient delivery

I received a coupon for $25 off $100 to test the Voila grocery delivery program through the Product Review Club. I downloaded the app and it made it so easy to pick and choose my groceries and add to my basket.
With two small kids at home and VERY pregnant this was super convenient and made it so much simpler for me to not have to load them in the car and take them with me (especially during these times with face masks and making sure they don’t touch anything).
The groceries had good expiry dates and the produce was fresh. I’ve had this problem with other grocery services before where the items were expired or almost expired.
I will definitely be trying again in future! Highly recommend giving it a try!

Very good experience

I received a discount to try out this service but I had to spend at least $100 to receive it. I had planned to spend just the minimum required however I ended up spending more because I was able to pick so many items on their "flash sale." I was worried that these would be expiring soon but they are at least a week out and many are much longer - works for me as I bought them for a cottage trip in a few days. Ordering was easy and great items kept popping up on the flash sale section. My delivery driver called about 5 min into my delivery window and pulled up a few minutes later. It took him some time to get the items and he later explained the whole process and that he was confirming that fragile items weren't broken and that refrigerated items stayed cold - the ice cream sandwiches I ordered were in perfect condition. I loved that I was also able to try items from FarmBoy since there isn't once nearby. My only complaint is that they don't give you AirMiles.

Voila doesn't disappoint

I've used Voila several times now, and have yet to be disappointed with the service or quality of products. The delivery is always on time, and the driver always phones in advance. The driver has always been friendly and helpful, and the groceries have always arrived in excellent condition. They are fresh and packed smartly. My only wish was that the selection of produce and fresh food was greater. Prices are higher, but there are deals to be had and the delivery fee is very reasonable. Will definitely continue to use!

Would use again when needed, but not the cheapest option

Full disclosure: I received a code as part of the program, but in all honesty I found a better code and used it instead of the one provided here.

The Voila service is easy to use and all the ingredients delivered in the exact 1-hr window as promised. Very impressed with that! They also called the morning of to confirm the delivery which was very much appreciated, especially since the order was placed a few days prior and it's easy to forget things like these.

The prices are Sobeys prices, so they tend to be a bit higher than stores like Walmart for instance but that is to be expected. Everything arrived in good condition (no missing items, no broken items) so for that I am satisfied with the order.

However, unlike some other delivery sites, they do charge a $8 delivery fee which can definitely add up, and would not recommend if you can do free pick up at Sobeys or at another grocery store with ease.

Not worth it for our family personally

The Voila service by sobeys is a good service. We have been ordering delivery from Walmart for several months since the pandemic started and I found this a great opportunity to try another service, especially being limited to options in our town. Voila did very well when it came to service. Shopper came to our door and greet us, socially distanced with gloves and mask. Very friendly! Our other service does not provide this. The price is fair at $7 for delivery. Products at sobeys are generally more expensive, so that was a downside for us, however they do carry some higher end brand that are harder to find at more budget stores. The biggest challenge keeping us from switching to them is the ability to Update your cart throughout the week. At Walmart, you can do this. I haven’t this this choice available anywhere else. So in summary, great service, but overall not a fit for our Particular needs.

Good service

I was very excited to try out Voila by Sobeys because of the ongoing pandemic. This was a wonderful time for them to launch because so many families would prefer to do their grocery shopping online and avoid stores. Overall, I liked the service. However, there were a lot of items that were not available online that are usually well stocked in all Sobeys stores. Sobeys is also usually a higher price point than other grocery stores but I do not mind paying the difference as I can do the shopping from the comfort of my home. The real home run was the delivery. It was very fast and the the delivery driver communicated very well. I will say though, the delivery fee was a little high. $7.99 is a lot (especially if you are just ordering for 1-2 people) but hopefully Sobeys will run promos in the future which waive the delivery fee or offer discounts. Alternatively, they should launch a premium service that waives delivery fees if you pay for an annual membership. Generally, I am impressed with this service. I did receive $25 off my first order as part of the Product Review Club.

Nice customer service.

Because of the pandemic I think a lot of people would like to do their grocery shopping online. And though I tried and liked this service, there were quite a few things that I didn't like. Like navigating the website and product availability. Sometimes I would add some products , only to be told at the checkout that it's unavailable. But I liked their customer service. They were very polite and helpful. The prices of some products seems a little expensive but it still saves me from a trip to the grocery store. Also delivery was very effectively done. I had some delivery problems before from other retailers but Sobeys had none of those issues. If I can't go to the store, then I would Idefinitely use their services, but for now I think I am going to do my shopping in - store.

Very Convenient

During the pandemic, grocery shopping has definitely changed. With Sobeys Voila, it is a much easier task to complete. Having gotten a discount on my purchase was even better!
For convenience, it is so easy to do and I would definitely recommend it!

Received a discount via @chickadvisor to use the NEW grocery service @voila.ca. A newly launched grocery delivery service 🚚 brought to you by @sobeys. Pretty easy to order using the app. Select your delivery date and time, add items to your cart and wait for the food! Delivery driver was cool, nice guy. He called about 10 minutes before the delivery to let me know he was en route. Super friendly when he arrived. Got all the items I ordered, no problems. Really great service if you prefer a delivery. You will pay for it though- $7.99 delivery fee. An easy and safe way to shop.

I received a discount vaucher to try shopping through Voila by Sobeys. The website is extremely easy to use, has many product options, and you can select the day and time of delivery according to your availability. I received my products exactly on time, and the delivery man was extremely friendly. The only point of improvement would be on prices, as this is slightly above what I usually buy. But anyway, I highly recommend using Voila by Sobeys to buy your grocerys.
