Great service. Easy process.

I enjoyed using the Voila by Sobeys service. First off, their website was easy to use and functioned well. I like that there was a focus on sale items on front page. It is easy to tell which items are on sale as the price is in red, so catches the eye. Also, items that are not in stock are greyed out, so again easy to identify.
I didn't notice a link to the weekly flyer, but since sale products were easy to identify, that wasn't a huge deal for me.

I like that fruit and vegetable quantity was very easily identified. Amount was already assigned (i.e. you can buy 4 tomatoes or 4 apples), instead of other stores where you enter quantity and don't know if they are considering quantity as weight or number of items.

Adding items to cart was easy and quick. The website did not lag at all.

The website has a lot of products available, but I found it a bit odd that some things were not listed. Example, only 1 large bag of potatoes, and I could only find large bags of apple in 1 variety (Granny Smith) instead of several varieties to choose from (Gala, MacIntosh etc.)

The site search function was only okay. Results did not return in the most accurate fashion. Example - searched Green Giant. The first 2 results were for another brand, then Green Giant products, then a bunch of other products and I had to scroll far down to find what I was looking for. The Green Giant products were not all together, but spread out over the search results.

There is a word predictor/prefill when searching so that is helpful.

I liked the amount of detail provided for most products. It would have been helpful if I could zoom in on product picture as well, as sometimes the size was not listed in product description.

My cart was easy to view, and I liked that you can change views, which allows you to see only product and quantity -- this makes it easy to ensure you have ordered proper quantity. Editing items to change quantity or remove was super easy.

One thing missing was I could not find anywhere to put whether I wanted substitutions or not. The delivery driver did mention that my order did not have substitutions, which gave me the impression that they would substitute if needed....so I would prefer to have control over what products are substituted.

The delivery fee of $8 is reasonable. The service process was easy and of high quality and superior customer service.

I did not find anywhere to enter my Air Miles number. Perhaps this service doesn't allow that, even though you can get Air Miles at Sobey's stores.

When ordering the next delivery date available was 2 days later, which is an acceptable wait time. I was permitted to edit my order up until the night before delivery which is very useful (though I didn't need to make any changes).

Order confirmation came immediately after the order, and was very clear and well organized.

The day of delivery, the delivery driver called about 10 minutes prior to my delivery hour. He confirmed a few details like where to deliver the items and if he should be aware of any parking issues. He advised that he would arrive in about 5 minutes and it would take a few minutes for him to gather my order.
His timing was exactly right, and my order was delivered exactly at the beginning of my delivery hour (11 am).

Products were separated into cold items and not cold items, and packed well and properly. Bags were quite large and sturdy. Frozen items were still frozen.
Fruit and vegetables were of good quality.

Our delivery driver was very professional, helpful and friendly. He thanked us for our order and as he knew we were first time customers, he said he hopes to see us again.

Very happy with this service. I learned after my order that Voila also carries some FarmBoy and Well.ca products. This is valuable as well, so I would look further into what products are available.

Another benefit to Voila is that orders are picked directly from the warehouse. This is great as there is less human interaction with the product, product is fresher and also more reliability with products being in stock.

Happy that I was able to try Voila by Sobeys and will definitely be a future customer.

Great Customer Service!

I got to try out the new Voila by Sobeys grocery delivery service and was impressed with the fantastic customer service I received! Placing my order was quite easy and most of the items I was looking for was in stock. I did find the prices were higher then the prices I am used to paying at my local grocery store, which was a downside. The delivery fee was a very reasonable price, especially when you factor in someone shopping for you, driving to you, etc. The day of my delivery, I received an email with 1 item that was out of stock- which is understandable. My driver called me when he was about 10 minutes out, to ask if he should call or knock upon arrival. He arrived promptly as his timing suggested and quickly brought all my groceries up the steps- right to my door. He informed me that there was 1 item unavailable BUT they found it at the last minute, showed me which bag it was in and told me it was added but I would not be charged for it. I was very impressed with the service! I can't see my family using the service for our weekly groceries (due to amount/prices) but if we are ever in need of a quick grocery stock up- this will be our go-to!

Too much hassle

Got a discount voucher to try the availability service so gave it a shot. With COVID and a newborn I’ve relied on grocery delivery services for the last few months. Since we are active Sobey’s shoppers Voila seemed like the perfect solution. Ordering on the app was simple enough. I couldn’t get a delivery time till the next day, despite the advertising claims of delivery within a hour. Slightly inconvenient because I was looking for items I needed for dinner but overall not a huge problem.
I did not like the delivery process at all. Where other delivery services offer the contactless delivery and will leave my order at my front door upon request, the Voila driver insisted on me meeting him outside. The driver called before he arrived and even though I asked for the groceries to be left outside he pretty much refused. With COVID and all other services offering contactless delivery I was extremely disappointed that Voila wasn’t taking the same precautions.

Sunday grocery shop done right!

I tried #VoilabySobeys and was thrilled with the seamless experience.

PROS:
- Great selection directly from the warehouse not a store
- next day delivery, $8 shipping
- ability to modify choices after placing the order and no substitutions/missed items
- lots of things on sale!
- many gluten-free/dairy-free options
- shop from partner stores like farmboy markets and well.ca all in one place!

CONS
- Sobeys typically has higher prices so don’t expect Walmart-deals
- produce options felt sparse

Voila - It's that Easy

I have heard about this service all over the place since it launched. Through ChickAdvisor product review Club I was offered a $25 discount to try the service with a $100 grocery purchase. I have used other grocery delivery services and Volia holds up to all of them. There were no substituted items, everything arrived as expected in perfect condition and temperature. The team member who delivered the groceries was efficient, friendly, and helpful. The online ordering process could be stream lined and there were some basic things I was looking for that they didn't have.

Overall a great experience. My husband is of the opinion that this is the only way we should purchase groceries going forward because of how easy and convenient it is.

Would recommend to those too busy to shop or who are uncomfortable going grocery shopping at this crazy time. I can imagine this being a great service for planning special meals for special events. If you know you are going to make a special dinner on the weekend, you can order your groceries to arrive for Saturday morning and you don't have to leave the house! Huge advantage in that.

Voila! My groceries delivered to my door

I was fortunate to be selected by Chick-Advisor to test out Sobey's new home grocery delivery service. I received a discount code on placing a order of $100 dollars or more, I could save $25.00 dollars. Ordering was easy, I was able to sign up and click through the item categories for the grocery items needed. All but one of my items were available but were packed well. I received a call 15 mins prior to my delivery-time slot letting me know the groceries were on the way. The gentleman that arrived knocked on the door first to make I was home and dropped the bags at the door. Being a new service he quickly explained the program and advise that if I re-use the bags on future orders that I would get the value in bags back in a credit. In all the groceries were in good quality and I it was nice to get the front door service and avoiding the sometimes long lines to go shopping these days and beating the heat as well. This service will come in handy when I'm tight on time. Will be using this service in the future.

I was able to try out the new Voila by Sobey'a grocery delivery service with a $25 discount from ChickAdvisor.

Very satisfied with the speed and quality of groceries. I placed my order on a Saturday morning and was surprised to see that I could choose a delivery time for the next day! On the day of delivery, I received a text from the driver when they were nearby, they actually got here 10 minutes before my scheduled delivery hour as well. It was a contactless delivery but the driver did speak to me briefly about the whole process.

The groceries were all packed in bags based on category, and the produce was all fresh and good quality. Would definitely use the service again!

Easy to use and prompt delivery

After registering for an account on the website, it was really easy to use. I was pleasantly surprised of the wide range of products available considering the produce were coming straight from a warehouse as opposed to an actual store. However, I found the products a bit pricey compared to the regular grocery stores but thanks to @chickadvisor, I got a discount code so it made it more affordable. The delivery was very prompt.

Yes, I would use this service again.

Super simple to place online order. I received my order the next day (less than 24hrs)!
All my items were fresh, frozen (which was confirmed safe zone temperature by the delivery person) and packaged/bagged properly. Including extra bags for cleaning supplies and meats that could leak.
I didn't mind paying a fee of $7.99 for the exceptional service that was provided. Some of their prices were a little higher than some grocery stores.

Excellent grocery delivery service!

I received a coupon for this service through Chickadvisor, and so received a discounted rate. Overall, I found this service to be excellent! We’ve still been doing grocery pickup recently, but with this service they deliver your groceries right to your porch! The bags had different handles to show which items needed to be refrigerated, which shows that they have an excellent process going. The delivery person was right on time, very efficient and pleasant! There were also no items missing or substitutions, an issue I’ve been having a lot with grocery pickup, so I really appreciated that! In an email they said that the groceries come from a warehouse rather than a store, so the selection available was excellent! Would definitely recommend, especially if you want an efficient and time-saving service!
