I like this ring, but I have had several friends who knocked their pearl out. Just working at their desk, around the house, etc.... and lost the pearl. The pearl apparantly is secured tightly enough. I have this ring, but have stopped wearing it due to my concerm. James Avery will replace the pearl, but for a significant fee. If you really love this ring, and must buy it, BE CAREFUL. Also don't use jewlery cleaner - had another friend who tried to wipe around it with jewlery cleaner, and it ate up her pearl. Not a pretty sight!!!
