I found that a lot of what was in this book helped melt some subconscious resentment. Even with a degree in psychology and a keen interest in the brain and it's functions, when it came to relationships, I found it difficult to deal with some of my boyfriend's ADHD tendencies. What was the most wonderful was reading other people's experiences and scenarios in the book - adult ADHD is pretty rare and it was nice to know we are not alone. I thought we were both pretty aware of ourselves before reading this book, but it helped (especially myself) take a better look at what I was doing and what I could do to be more supportive.
