Maybelline Unstoppable Eyeliner

First off, I have oily lids, and so far the only thing that remotely works well is MUFE.
That said, I got this in a bonus pack with the Stiletto Mascara from Walmart.
I love that it doesn't need sharpening therefore not as much waste.
And it does apply quite smoothly, no tugging at my skin.
But I personally found that it didn't last very well on my lower lash line, my waterline, or my upper lid.
It seemed to smudge fairly easily as well.
I would say that this lasted me...3 hours MAX before the lower lash liner transferred all over the place (Though I would actually say that eve at 2 hours, it didn't look very good).

This is the one and only eyeliner I use. If I go on a trip and forget it at home or something I freak out. I am a big fan of waterproof, and this one really lasts all day. Even after swimming if i don't rub my eyes, the liner stays in place. I've a lot of eyeliners, and never liked the liners you don't sharpen, (that scroll up like lipstick) because they tend to break and leave a flat end, but with this liner I didn't mind, the thickness of the liner isn't too thin to break, but isn't too thick either. Also if you don't usually wear waterproof eyeliner, with a makeup remover towelettes (which i use every night to remove my makeup) the liner is not hard to remove at all, pretty much the same easy-ness as regular liners. Also great for summer when you go to the pool!

Ugh, I got this eyeliner recently because it promises not to go anywear, to last all day and says it's waterproof and smudge-proof. I usually line my eyes with a little line extended a bit past my lash line and I line my lower lid. This eyeliner goes on pretty easy, but it doesn't last very long. The color simply fades if it doesn't smudge first. Unlike its promises, this eyeliner smudes extremely easily, and it is not waterproof at all (I went swimming and got horrible racoon eyes with it). Bottom line: easy to apply, but if it doesn't smudge all over your face, it'll barely be visible by the end of the day.

I have bought so many eyeliners, looking for that perfect one... you know, the one that gives the 'liquid eyeliner' look; sleek, a bit glossy, doesn't smudge, etc. I tried everything, from NYC to Lancome, and came across some bad, some good, some so-so's, but not what i was looking for.

Then I went to Shopoholic girls night and got this in my goodie bag. For all of you who look at girls with gorgeous striking eyes - bottom lined lids that look like they've been lined wtih liquid liner, and you wonder how do these girls get liquid eyeliner on their lower lid?? have to try this!! It is a pencil, but gives the liquid eyeliner look if applied with a heavy hand.

Now don't go thinking this eyeliner only looks good on goth looks either! Today I was feeling for the 'girl next door' look (rosy cheeks, maybelline champagne fizz gloss, fresh *flushed* looking makeup/face ..lol) and lids lined very fine with a light hand, so it looks like I have thick lower lashes instead of looking like an actual eyeliner. And guess what? Two of my buddies (guys - VP's who are usually too busy to notice much) actually stopped and complimented me on my look today!! :-)

That I will buy this again goes without saying.. I'm so glad it came in the goodie bag so I got to know what a great product it was!!!

I received this product from the Shopaholic Movie Night Swag Bags. Wow, when they say unstoppable, they certainly mean it. I used this before a night out, and it lasted the whole night, and even after I (shamefully) didn’t wash my face before I went to bed, it hadn’t budged by the morning. It was still literally PERFECT. I was super impressed. However, as great as being smudgeproof and waterproof as, I don’t care for it when it comes time to wash it off – it does not wash off with my regular cleanser, and I don’t want to buy a make-up remover just to remove this one product (I rarely use enough eye make-up to constitute buying remover…) My only other complaint is that it is one of those “self-sharpening” types of eyeliner, which I never really care for because I prefer to sharpen the my eyeliners to the finest point possible, so this one doesn’t really cut it.

Overall, I would recommend this product for its staying power and smudge proof abilities, but not for its waterproof-ness (because honestly, how many times do you really need your eyeliner to stay on when you go swimming??? Ha ha ha)

I was so impressed by this eyeliner that I bought it twice! Usually after trying out an eyeliner, I would look for something new. However, I found myself buying this eyeliner time and time ago. For years I have been looking for the perfect eyeliner that would not smudge and this eyeliner satisfied my craving. If smudging is a BIG problem for you, I would definitely recommend this eyeliner! It also lasts for a pretty long time as I hardly have to reapply.
