Love this but I have owned two and they have both broken. I would suggest Olay's power scrubbing brush instead.

I HATE THAT THING. i used it for about 2 weeks daily and stopped,i still have almost 2 packs of the pads left that i will not use anymore. i hate the smell as soon it's foaming with water. cleaning? not for me. you stick a little round pad on the sticky part of this thing and add some water, and it just a little vibrates and makes a stupid buzz sound,no spin or so, don't know what for this whole thing is, because it does nothing special to my skin or is a special cleaning effect. it dried out my skin very badly,my skin got flaky, i broke out. this is one of the worst purchases i've ever made!!! and again, i hate this smell as soon the pad gets wet and foamy.

I got one of theses on clearance a few months ago and it was horrible. the hand-held is just a vibrating massager and the cleaning pads do not foam up and barely any soap on them I threw the whole thing away after a few uses it made me sneeze alot when using it cause it vibrated your nose.

I am always open to trying new facial cleansers and was intrigued when I saw the new "Neutrogena Wave" advertised on the television by a very enthusiastic Vanessa Hudgens. I expected the product to retail at around £7.00, but was shocked to find it in my local store for £17.00 (on offer for £13!), which I thought was pretty pricey for a 1 AA battery powered cleanser that only comes with a couple of it's "foaming pads" (extras retail around £4).

I immediately tried the product when I got home, it was an easy to hold, compact shape which fitted well in my hand and the on/off button is a practical design - no fiddling around with switches. The foaming pads themselves are only an inch wide - if that, and they attach to the cleanser by a circle of vecro atop it.

First of all, it was already obvious how poor quality the "foaming pads" were - if I held them to the light they revealed a mere 1cm splodge of cleansing foam under their surface. I switched the cleanser on and wet it a little, as instructed, however the pads would not foam. Nor would they a couple minutes later. In fact, the only foam that actually came out of them was when I had to apply the cleanser to my face with force and even then it was minimum. (Nothing like the advert!).

The Wave itself feels easy on the skin, it isn't too harsh but it's circular head makes it difficult to reach areas around the nose or eyes. I found myself having to apply my own face wash to the pads to get any use and even then it failed to foam. I removed the pads after use to find that the foam was UNDERNEATH the surface and was clogged between the velcro and the pad in a furry mess - another of it's flaws, it also sticks to towels, flannels and clings to any hairs or fur lying around; all of which are annoying and difficult to get back out.

Overall I feel that the product had some good ideas, which were not fully fulfilled. I was greatly disappointed and feel I have wasted my money on something that benefits me even LESS than using a flannel and some face wash. The cleansing pads are far too expensive to replace, especially for a product like this that will probably not last in the market. I would not recommend this to anyone unless they have ALOT of patience in getting it to actually clean your face!

Neutrogena has recently been promoting a new item touted to freshen your complexion by removing dirt, oil, and makeup with a gentle vibration and a mild soap pad. As I single-mindedly scrub my face to clean as many clogged pores as possible daily, I was giddy with the possibility of finding a product that could actually allow me to work a little less hard and abuse my skin a little less frequently. Unfortunately, that is not the case.
The Neutrogena wave, priced at just $12 at your friendly neighborhood Wal*Mart, does precisely this: it wastes your time. The pads that are used (sold with the start-up kit and individually) are barely soapy, and the vibrations leave something to be desired. Now I don't need the vibrations of a washing machine on SPIN to clean my face, but the "gentle" motion really doesn't improve the condition of my skin.
While purchasing the wave, I did notice a second product made by Neutrogena costing around $20, and a third similar product from a different company priced around $50. These look to be a little more effective in exfoliating your skin, but after the complete disappointment of using the Wave, I think I'll stick with my washcloth.
