Not worth it

Product gifted %26 Dwight Canada ARM %26 HAMMER™ HardBall™ Clumping Litter - 3/10 only because of how light it truly is. Heavily scented and cat refused to use it after almost a week. I did pour water into the litter and leave it for a couple minutes to see if it would clump in a ball as advertised and I did not get that reaction. It was very clumpy and actually more messy than the other litter I usually use from Arm %26 Hammer. Will continue to be using Arm %26 Hammer Cloud Control instead

Light and easy, Cats said no

I was excited to try this litter, and poured the whole box into the litter pan. It didn't make much of a pile, and I would say that for the price of this ($23.97 plus tax) I would not ever buy this. Barely a pan full, so one full litter change.
The box was attractive, light to carry, and didn't take much space. This would be good if you have issues with carrying heavy things or have limited space in your home.
My 2 cats did not go near this litter, even though it was in their preferred litter box. (2 cats, 2 boxes) I'm not sure of the reason, but it was a big ol' no from them. I can't give a review on the effectiveness of the litter as neither Pumpkin nor Garfield would use it.

Strong smell, falls apart

I was excited to try it out, but I was let down. The box was in fact really light. But I could smell a strong perfumy scent right through the box before opening, which was appalling and made me sneeze. The litter looks like brown sand. Again the smell was so strong, it was very unpleasant, my cat didn't want any part of that. Understandable as my own human nose couldn't handle it and I'm not sensitive to scents.
The "hard ball" factor wasn't accurate. My cat left it uncovered which made it a sludge mess like mud. When I did cover it, it didn't stay a ball, it fell apart with small pieces everywhere.
I was informed that apparently light weight like this product is actually really bad for your cat's system as they breathe it in, and the light litter gets licked off their fur and hardens in their stomach. So with all the negatives, I appreciate the free try, but I will not be using this. The falling apart mess that was used smelt way worse than any other used litter I've had, and it stuck to the bottom of the box.

Not worth it

I was excited to try the ARM & HAMMER™ HardBall™ Clumping Litter as I had seen the commercials on TV and my cat is especially stinky and messy in the litter box!
Pros: Very light weight, easy to carry. Cat didn't have an issue with using.
Cons: Way too much perfume/scent. It did cover up his smell, but I actually prefer smelling him over the overly scented litter. It gave me a headache. Also it did not form a ball anywhere close to what was seen on TV.

Not appreciate by 3 cats

have 3 cats and none of them even wanted to put on more than one paws. I cleaned the bin, and put that litter box. think the smell smells too strong for them, personally, I find the smell light and sweet. There is no dust and it is ultra light. The litter is also soft. I don't understand why my cats go to any brand or kind of litter but this one is incompletely refused. Product gifted by Church %26 Dwight Canada.

Mon chat n'a pas du tout aimé! En sortant, il y avait des traces de litières brunes dorées sur le plancher. Ça sent tellement fort le parfum c'est déplaisant. L'agglomération n'est pas fameuse non plus.

ARM & HAMMER™ HardBall™ Clumping Litter

I really wanted to like ARM & HAMMER HardBall Clumping Litter, particularly given the great reviews, clumping power and dust-free performance. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out for my cat.

Shortly after switching to this litter, she started experiencing stomach issues (vomiting and acting lethargic) in addition to avoiding the litter box and even the room the box is in, which was very unusual for her. I suspect the fragrance of the litter may have been too strong for her, even though she’s not typically sensitive to scents. After switching back to her regular litter, her symptoms improved immediately, and she went back to being herself.

I do appreciate that the litter clumps well and is virtually dust-free, but the fragrance was clearly a problem for my cat. I understand that many cats might tolerate or even like the scent; unfortunately, it wasn’t a good fit for us so we’re back to our previous litter. If you have a cat who is sensitive to fragrances, please test it before making the switch.

To thin

I don't like it at all, it's too thin, one by two, when my cat gets out of the litter box it creates a lot of dust and damage and no, I'm not going to buy it or recommend it to friends who have cats because every times she use it I have to clean after her.The only thing I like about it is the fact that it really keep the and smell away
