For two cats, it doesn’t work well

I had high hopes for the litter. It is definitely light weight and for a day or two it’s fine with my two cats, but by the third day it started to give off that “kitty litter smell”. I was sad it didn’t work as well because it was more affordable and light weight. I think maybe if I didn’t have two cats and it was just one it might have worked better. Unfortunately not matter how well it clumps and shrinks doesn’t matter to me if the smell isn’t taken care of. The litter also stuck to my cats and their hair making a mess.

Smell is too Overpowering

Works as it says , clumps very well ,That said the Scent is so Overpowering and cats are extremely hesitant too use it . If the cats won’t use it it’s useless . There are several reviews similarly stating how strong the scent is .

Disapointed

I absolutely am so disappointed in this hard clumping litter. It does not live up to its name. I tried the litter and the litter stayed soft and malleable, did not form any clumps let alone a hard enough clump. This litter makes it even worse to cleanup due to that fact, even after sitting several minutes it failed to form a hard clump. So disappointing and fall advertisment

Very Messy

First, I was surprised this was scented as it does not state scented on the packaging, so that was not a good surprise. it should state it all over the front of the package. I typically don't buy scented cat litter as you wind up with a perfumed poop smell that is always unpleasant. This scent is pretty strong so not good in small spaces either. On to the main problem - this litter gets EVERYWHERE. It's so small and lightweight that even a normally not messy cat can't help kicking it out of the box. I would say my least messy cat easily kicked half a cup out on the first use and she didn't seem to like the feel on her paws, either. We usually use a corn-based litter that is pretty lightweight itself, but I never had that much trouble with mess with my usual brand. It does clump very well. So if messy, floral lightweight litter is what you're looking for, this is perfect, but if you don't want to be cleaning litter out of everything including your couch, bed, office chair, etc. then steer clear.

Meh at best

I had high hopes for ARM & HAMMER™ HardBall™ Clumping Litter, but it didn’t quite meet expectations. While the clumping is decent, the litter forms rock-hard clumps that stick to the bottom of the litter box, making cleanup frustrating. It also tracks more than I expected, leaving a mess outside the box. The odor control is okay but not as strong as other litters I’ve used. Overall, it’s not the worst, but I wouldn’t repurchase.

Cats don't like it

I have tried reviewing this a few times and my words keep disappearing. I can't find my review on Walmart.ca.
In short, my cats do not like it. I had to mix in other cat litter to get them to use the boxes.

Not great

My cat usually isn't too picky if we swap the type of litter but she refused to use this kind. We switched her litter box out entirely to this and she ended up peeing on our clothes pile in the bathroom instead of using her litter box. Safe to say we switched back to the chunky stuff. This litter was very similar to sand. It is lightweight and easy to buy/carry home but not great if your cat won't use it sadly.

Way to messy

This product might be good for a cat that doesn't dig the litter box my cat made a absolute mess less then a hour i havent experienced that big of a mess before the lightweight might just be to light,it does work though with the hard balls of clumps and it smells fresh this product doesn't work for me and I probably won't purchase it but it might work for someone with a less messy cat, also definitely not for multi cat homes like mine.

Scent too strong

Thank you @thisisbutterly and @armandhammer for this free full sized product to test and review for free. Firstly, I’m impressed with the size and weight of the box/cat litter, as it's super easy to pick up. Secondly, I’m impressed with how easy it is to dispense said cat litter from the box with a simple push in spout! Unfortunately, that’s all I'm impressed with. The scent is so strong that: only 1 out of 3 cats will use this litter box (I have 2); and it's only because he’s old and doesn’t want to go upstairs to pee after having a nap downstairs. I had to remove my plug-in air freshener because of the scented litter. It looks and feels different than regular clay litter and not as dusty. It clumps like clay litter and is easy to scoop out. Also price is a big factor for me, as I wouldn’t be switching brands for this. With that being said, unless you’re already paying over $20 for a single box of cat litter, I wouldn’t recommend trying this product.

Cats refused it

We have two cats and have always had two litter boxes. To test this product, we used our normal litter in one box and Hardball in the second box. Our first reaction was it was a bit too perfume smelling and the texture was light. We waited an entire week to write our review, checking each day, and each day, the litter box was Hardball was empty. Finally, today was the day, one cat used the Hardball litter. The pee was in a 'hardball' but that ball stuck to the bottom of the litter box. We don't have that issue with clumping litter. It's a pass for these particular cats.
