Love this litter but the price is steep

Great clumping litter with little to no dust and a pleasant scent. My only reservation is the price point. I have 3 cats and keeping them all on this litter is too costly for me.

Good clumping and odor control

I recently tried ARM & HAMMER™ HardBall™ Clumping Litter, and overall, I’m pretty happy with it. The hard clumps make scooping easy, and it does a great job at controlling odors, even with multiple cats. The low-dust formula is a big plus, especially compared to other litters that create a cloud when poured.

However, while the clumps are firm, they can sometimes stick to the bottom of the litter box, making cleanup a bit more challenging. It’s also a bit pricier than some other options, but the performance mostly justifies the cost.

If you’re looking for a strong-clumping, low-dust litter with good odor control, this is a solid choice!

Try This!!

Would have given this product 4.5 stars, but this was not an option. Only reason this product lost points was due to the fact that it tracks. Have yet to find a litter that doesn't though. Love the box design, as it is very sturdy, light and the handle makes for easy lifting and carrying. Clumps great, easy to clean. Love love love the smell of this litter, so fresh, but not overpowering. All three of my feline friends are picking this litter box, even my extremely finicky one. Great Litter - Just a Little Pricey

I really like this litter — it truly does what it promises. It clumps very well, making cleanup easy, and it masks odors much longer than other brands I’ve tried. I would definitely buy it again, especially if it’s on sale. The only downside for me is the price; for the size of the box and the amount of litter you get, it’s a little out of my usual budget. That said, it does seem to last longer than other litters, which helps balance it out somewhat. Overall, I’m very happy with the performance and would recommend it to others, especially when you can catch a good deal.

My cat loves it

This litter is great. It cleans up easily in and around the litter box. My cat is always kicking out the litter and most litter goes all over. Not this kind. And when it comes to cleaning the litter box it makes it very quick and easy to do. Plus there’s no foul smells.

If scent does not bother you, it's a great litter!

I am always interested in trying out new types of litter to find something that works for our cat, but also for us, the cat parents! This litter is pretty new so it was quite difficult to find, but I am glad we found it! The scent for us was not bothersome, but it is quite strong so I think it may not be for everyone. In terms of it being dust free, this is the closest litter to being dust free, very little dust was created when we poured it into the box and when the cat is doing his business! We were pleasantly surprised at how well the little contained the odour and how well it clumped together without using up too much of the litter! It is slightly on the upper price point but from what we have seen it does seem to last longer so that would balance out the cost overall! We will keep trying it with our cat, who seems to like it so far!

Lives up to its promises

I was super impressed by this ARM & HAMMER Hardball Clumping Litter. I followed the instructions to test it with my existing litter, placing a layer of this on the bottom. I didn't see many "balls" but it clumped very well without any mess when scooping and transferring to the trash. I absolutely noticed how low dust this litter was as well. All the dust in the air I usually get when changing litter was no longer an issue. The smell of ammonia was also gone. These two things alone make the litter better than almost everything I have tried before. There is no overpowering perfume scent either. It just covers regular bad litter odor. It is also lightweight as it claims, easy to pick up and move around. I am recovering from surgery right now so this has been great.

The only two downsides and the reason for one star off: I did notice this seemed to get stuck in my cats' paws a bit more easily and they therefore tracked it on to the floor, requiring more sweeping, and unfortunately into my bed as well! I am not sure if it's the size of the particles or what, but it is something I did notice. The only other downside is the price. This is very expensive and pretty out of my price range for two cats. It is something I would love to replace my regular litter, but I would not be able to afford this all the time.

Regardless, I am still so impressed with this litter and would definitely buy it again when possible! Covers odor, low dust, lightweight, mess-free!

Great new alternative to my regular brand but peic

My cat and I are really enjoying this new hardball litter by Arm and Hammer. It has a very light refreshing scent which for someone who suffers from migraines can really appreciate that the scent is not overpowering and with other litters I have tried smells like literal perfumey poop. I have used the same litter for going on 4 weeks now with only fresh top ups in our litter robot . However do find the catch tray in the bottom needs to be emptied twice a week or it smells horrible which I am not used to. True value for this rather pricey litter. I still find that my cat will track some litter outside of the box but I honestly haven’t used any litter that doesn’t track but it isn’t nearly as bad as some others. It is also a smaller size grain and not overly dusty at all which I don’t find to be as noticeable and I like the light grey color which blends into our colour of wood floors. My cat was used to World’s Best Cat Litter and kind of thinks twice before entering the litter box but will still use the litter after slight hesitation. I will definitely continue to use this product going forward since it also helps to reduce waste but only when I can purchase it on sale.

Not really worth the price

Kitty seemed to use it without noticing any change to their regular litter. And although the clean up is noticeably easier, the price at the store makes it something I won’t normally purchase, just to throw away in the end.

Super light!!!

Arm & Hammer
Hardball Light Weight

First of all, I'd like to thank Butterly and Arm & Hammer for sending me this generous gift! I have many cats, and therefore I have many litters! They all need to be cleaned constantly because my cats are picky and I can't stand it if I can smell a dirty litter!

I love how light this is, it's so so easy for me to lift, following a shoulder dislocation, and it smells really nice actually, and I'm not a fan of the scented litters typically! It also feels really nice to me, very soft, like nice sand, but I usually use a clay based litter that are in larger pieces than this one, so we'll see if the cats like it.

I can't tell if they like it or not, because it doesn't look like they're using it, because do see paw prints, but I see no waste 🤷‍♀️. It's probably because they're so used to their usual litter, and this is a totally different texture. But there's also no litter tracked out of the box onto the floor!

So while it is on the pricier side, it's still a good option if I'm on my own, and need to pick some up!
