A total cat-astrophe

This is my review for Arm & Hammer HardBall Clumping Litter. I will not be purchasing this litter myself as my cat and I both did not enjoy it. I've tried several different cat litters over the years and this is the only one my cat refused to poop in. To start off, I did not like the scent of the litter and I did not find it helped with the odor of cat urine. My cat only used his litter box twice to pee when it had this litter in it. I didn't notice any clumping at all when I scooped the litter where he had peed. When I scooped it was almost like a large fluffy pancake versus a hard ball/clump like his usual litter. I found this to be almost more wasteful as it took out more litter. Since he only peed in the litter box that meant he pooped on my bathroom floor instead. I'm not sure if it was the scent or texture of the litter that he did not like? Unfortunately, since he can't speak I can't ask him for his thoughts. I also noticed him grooming himself more than usual after he used the litter box to pee in which concerns me as the litter is very very fine and I have concerns about it sticking to his fur and him ingesting it while he grooms himself. Sadly, when I removed this litter and added his usual, he immediately got into his litter box and went to the bathroom which made my feel like a bad pet parent as he clearly did not like this Arm & Hammer HardBall Clumping Litter. This was mine and my cat's experience with this particular litter and you may have a totally different experience as every cat is different.

Strong scent

I received this product for free from butterly however I'm not a fan of the strong scent it does clump well but I would not purchase it because of the scent and I also noticed that I did not provide any order eliminating

I was optimistic but it didn’t measure up

I was really hoping this litter would be a game-changer, and while it has some good points, it didn’t fully live up to the hype for me. It’s definitely lightweight, which makes it easier to carry and pour, and it clumps fairly well. That said, it didn’t do a great job controlling odors for more than a few days, and the clumps sometimes broke apart when scooping. On top of that, my cats didn’t seem to like it at all they avoided the box completely, which isn’t something I’ve had happen with other litters. I was fully optimistic but the fact the cats hate it kind of mutes the point here.

Hardball….I'm not so sure

I was given the opportunity to try Arm and Hammer Hardball lightweight cat litter for free in exchange for my honest review.
I tested it using my regular litter (gray) and the Hardball litter (tan) and some water. After giving them equal time to soak, I scooped out my litter in a nice clump. I tried to scoop out the Hardball the same way- but I found the liquid really dispersed leaving the whole bowl quite wet. It did clump, but not as easily as my regular brand. I also found the Hardball to be quite scented- it was pleasant, but my cat can be fussy, so I prefer no scent. As much as I wanted to like it, my first impression is that I will stick with my normal brand.

Messy Kitty

I received a coupon to get a product free from butterly for an exchange of my honest opinion.
I purchased this at my local Walmart, which is more expensive than I would spend but if it's good quality i dont mind. I heard of arm and hammer before for there quality and effectiveness. After searching for over a week walmart finally had it in stock.
I always use special kitty brand when it comes to litter. When placing the litter in my cat box I noticed that it is really fine texture,almost like sand which my cat absolutely loved. I did notice tho after each use with this litter my cat would have it in her fur ; assuming my cat is ingesting it because she cleans herself off (I'm sure it's not healthy to ingest it).
If they could change somehow change the texture I would keep it as it is smell proof, easy clean, and my cat loves the sand,but it will definitely be a pass for me and I will stick with my brand I trust. Thank you for the opportunity to test it butterly!

Was hoping for a better litter! Overpowering scent

This litter has an overpowering floral scent and I did not see an unscented option. Smelled even worse once cats used it! It is very lightweight and fine textured. Reasonably priced. Makes very hard clumps which were easy to remove. My cats did not like it, whether it was the scent or texture they didn’t like, so I will be returning to my regular brand, World’s Best litter. It might be a good option if you don’t mind heavily scented products and your cats will use it.

Cat refused to use it

ARM & HAMMER" HardBall'™ Clumping
Litter - 3/10 only because of how light it truly is. Heavily scented and cat refused to use it after almost a week. Will continue to be using Arm & Hammer Cloud Control instead
