My New Favourite Litter

I’ve tried many brands and types of litter in the past. They all have clumps that fall apart as you are scooping them which causes scooping the litter box to take forever. Some litter products have so much dust I have to wear a mask and become completely covered in litter dust. But this was not the case with the HardBall Clumping Litter. First of all, pouring was a breeze. Usually I need to use a cup to get the litter out of the box into the litterbox, which takes quite a bit of time. But this Arm & Hammer beauty has a convenient pouring hole right at the side for easy pouring so filling my cat’s box was a breeze. Now the litter itself is quite fine and doesn’t cause any dust which is great. And the smell, it smells so fresh, it reminds me of laundry detergent, so when my cat does her business, it smells like a load of fresh laundry. Although there is a bit of smell right after my cat uses the litter, it quicky goes away after she buries it. The scooping did end up being easier and took much less time. There weren’t actually any “balls” per se, but there were clumps that didn’t crumble as I scooped them up, which is a nice change. The best part is that I don’t have to change the litter again for 20 days! Just have to scoop and top it up to ensure there is enough litter in the box for my cat and the litter to work its magic. This is my new favourite litter, and I recommend it to anyone who wants an easy, quick, no-mess litterbox changing experience.

Works well

My cats started using it right away.
The ultra compact clumps make it so easy to scoop. I like how lightweight it is. The fragrance is nice and helps keep odors away, but it's a tad strong!

Great odour control and easy cleanup

I thought this was an excellent litter . I have three cats and the odour control is amazing. The hard ball clumps are super easy to clean and I have had the same letter in the box for almost a week now with no cat odour whatsoever. The only thing I do not like about it is the tracking of the fine particles BUT that is also something that could easily be resolved with a mat underneath the box.

Small but mighty

I tried the Arm & Hammer Hardball Lightweight Clumping Litter free from @thisisbutterly in exchange for my honest review. I was shocked to find how small and light the box is compared to regular litter, which makes pouring and scooping so much easier. The clumps are super solid and don’t break apart, so cleaning the box is a breeze. Plus, the odor control is pretty impressive—the box claims it is odor free for 20 days and it does actually last a long time!

And the best part? My cat likes it too! No complaints from her, which is a win in my book.Usually when I change brands she turns up her nose and refuses to use the litter or tries throwing it out of the box - but not with Arm & Hammer Hardball Lightweight Clumping Litter she used it right away!

So lightweight!

This is Lucy. Lucy can clear a room with her emissions and needs a scent-blocking litter. This product worked, nothing will block odour completely but it did a good job.

This litter is extremely lightweight, not super dusty and it does clump really well, I would buy again.

Very light and very fresh smelling

I received a coupon sent by Butterly, so I could pick up my free box of Arm and Hammer Hardball Light Weight cat litter from Walmart. I am always excited to find a good litter that stays fresh longer than a day. Oh boy, when I picked it up from the shelf from Walmart, I could not believe how light it was. I could hold it with my pinky finger. What a difference compared to how heavy regular clumping litter is. When I opened it, the scent of the litter was very fresh smelling. So far I really like it for the scent, the weight and no dust. Now I just have to wait to see how the cats like it and how well it clumps, as the box says that it will make ultra compact clumps. Also, there is a guarantee on the box that it will stay fresh for up to 20 days. I will update soon with a verdict . But so far so good.

I'm not sold

ARM & HAMMER™ HardBall™ Clumping Litter does a decent job, but it’s not perfect. The clumping action is impressive—forming tight, solid clumps that are easy to scoop and minimize mess. Odor control is solid, but not exceptional; it masks smells reasonably well but doesn’t completely eliminate them. Dust levels are moderate, though noticeable during pouring. Some litter tracking occurred, which required regular cleaning outside the box area. Overall, it’s a middle-of-the-road choice that gets the job done, but I’d explore other options to find an even better fit for my needs.
