Lives up to its promises

I was super impressed by this ARM & HAMMER Hardball Clumping Litter. I followed the instructions to test it with my existing litter, placing a layer of this on the bottom. I didn't see many "balls" but it clumped very well without any mess when scooping and transferring to the trash. I absolutely noticed how low dust this litter was as well. All the dust in the air I usually get when changing litter was no longer an issue. The smell of ammonia was also gone. These two things alone make the litter better than almost everything I have tried before. There is no overpowering perfume scent either. It just covers regular bad litter odor. It is also lightweight as it claims, easy to pick up and move around. I am recovering from surgery right now so this has been great.

The only two downsides and the reason for one star off: I did notice this seemed to get stuck in my cats' paws a bit more easily and they therefore tracked it on to the floor, requiring more sweeping, and unfortunately into my bed as well! I am not sure if it's the size of the particles or what, but it is something I did notice. The only other downside is the price. This is very expensive and pretty out of my price range for two cats. It is something I would love to replace my regular litter, but I would not be able to afford this all the time.

Regardless, I am still so impressed with this litter and would definitely buy it again when possible! Covers odor, low dust, lightweight, mess-free!

Great new alternative to my regular brand but peic

My cat and I are really enjoying this new hardball litter by Arm and Hammer. It has a very light refreshing scent which for someone who suffers from migraines can really appreciate that the scent is not overpowering and with other litters I have tried smells like literal perfumey poop. I have used the same litter for going on 4 weeks now with only fresh top ups in our litter robot . However do find the catch tray in the bottom needs to be emptied twice a week or it smells horrible which I am not used to. True value for this rather pricey litter. I still find that my cat will track some litter outside of the box but I honestly haven’t used any litter that doesn’t track but it isn’t nearly as bad as some others. It is also a smaller size grain and not overly dusty at all which I don’t find to be as noticeable and I like the light grey color which blends into our colour of wood floors. My cat was used to World’s Best Cat Litter and kind of thinks twice before entering the litter box but will still use the litter after slight hesitation. I will definitely continue to use this product going forward since it also helps to reduce waste but only when I can purchase it on sale.

Not really worth the price

Kitty seemed to use it without noticing any change to their regular litter. And although the clean up is noticeably easier, the price at the store makes it something I won’t normally purchase, just to throw away in the end.

Interesting But Amazing

I was really hoping my cat would take to this litter given its odd texture but she actually really liked it! The odour control on this litter is great, I don’t have to panic if I miss a litter change because I honestly do not smell anything. I’m not sure how exactly they are able to formulate a little that’s SO lightweight, but my back is VERY thankful!

Not what I was expecting

I wanted to love this product so much. I hated the smell. The litter was very scented. It was hard to leave 4 boxes for 7 days. My husband usually doesn’t say much about litter but he hated this one. The cats tracked a lot of the litter through the house.

The one positive is that it was virtually dustless.

My cat hated it

Arm & Hammer HardBall Clumping Litter was a total fail for us! We dumped the box into our cat’s litter box a month ago and it still looks brand new - because it is. There hasn’t been any odor, nor any mess. It’s almost like we have no cat! It says lightweight, but it has a bit of weight, however, still quite manageable. Now for the kicker… our cat refuses to use this litter. I don’t know why, but he just will not pee nor poop in it. Switched him back to our previous kind, and he was happy to be in it again and went instantly. So unfortunately, I have to say that I do not recommend this product at all.

First of all, I'd like to thank Butterly and Arm & Hammer for sending me this generous gift! I have many cats, and therefore I have many litters! They all need to be cleaned constantly because my cats are picky and I can't stand it if I can smell a dirty litter!

I love how light this is, it's so so easy for me to lift, following a shoulder dislocation, and it smells really nice actually, and I'm not a fan of the scented litters typically! It also feels really nice to me, very soft, like nice sand, but I usually use a clay based litter that are in larger pieces than this one, so we'll see if the cats like it.

I can't tell if they like it or not, because it doesn't look like they're using it, because do see paw prints, but I see no waste 🤷‍♀️. It's probably because they're so used to their usual litter, and this is a totally different texture. But there's also no litter tracked out of the box onto the floor!

So while it is on the pricier side, it's still a good option if I'm on my own, and need to pick some up!

It does what says! It works.

After seeing the commercials I was so excited to try this new litter! We've been using a traditional litter that is really dusty and difficult to pick up - and our cat manages to track little bits of it everywhere. Not the best when we have dark furniture.
Arm and Hammer Hardball has new technology that doesn't waste time clumping. As soon as 'the liquid' hits the litter it comes together. It really works. It locks it in immediately and keeps smells at bay. I have noticed a tremendous reduction in litter being tracked around the home. Cleaning the hardball litter is much less of a chore - even my teenager will clean the box now.

Great smelling and effective

The scent in this litter pleasantly subtle—not overpowering—and it actually helps keep the room smelling fresh. The clumping action is very good too; much more effective than the previous litter I was using. Makes cleanup quick and keeps the litter box cleaner for longer.
