    Regular...

When I opened the can of sardines I was surprised by how many you got inside. The sardines are soaked in oil which is nothing special. There is a good amount of oil so you can really taste it with the sardines. It tastes as if the oil is slightly watered down though, which might be because it is soy oil and not olive oil like I am use to. If you are not a fan of fish you will not want to try these because it looks very "fishy" and you can see the scales. I am a big fan of seafood so it does not really bother me. I like that these are easy to eat and can be broken down into smaller pieces or crushed as desired. I like eating sardines with sea weed or with crackers. I would buy these again if they were on sale.

A Lot of Sardines But Too Oily

I got a can of these to try and it contained five large pieces of sardine. The sardines are soaked in soy oil, which tastes like regular oil and isn't very pleasant. They are very greasy because of the oil. The sardines themselves are meaty and juicy. They have a pleasant saltiness to them. The sardines are cut up but in tact so they have the bones inside, which can be eaten easily and help add calcium to one's diet. This can of sardines includes 20 per cent of one's recommended daily calcium intake, so it's a different way to get calcium in instead of the usual dairy products. Overall, I much prefer the sardines with other "coatings" instead of soy oil, and would try this brand again if I found it available with other coatings.
