Loved it! I worked as a haircolorist for a few years before switching careers, and this stuff is *almost* as good as the professional lines. (Professional lines cover more opaquely, and this seems more sheer, IMO) The scent was odd, like warm wine, or something, but I used to use a pro lines that smelled like vomit. Literally. The foam was super nice...no mess, whatsoever! I did shake the container, holding it at a 90 degree level, for about 20-25 seconds to mix. And voile, foam! It usually takes a little over one full tube of professional color to thoroughly drench my hair, but it only took one package of this. No mess, whatsoever. It was odd to wash out, yes wash, not shampoo. You rinse until the water is clear, and my hair felt a bit like straw. After I applied the conditioner that was included, rinsed, and dried, my hair felt great! The color was nice; I used Level 8 (not my profile pic, it's lighter than that).

I rec'd this product as a thanky you for promotional reasons. I got one for myself and one for my 17 yr old dtr, who dyes her hair BLACK. Dyeing your own hair is SUCH a chore, and doing black, ugh. Having to use a color brush to brush the dye on ALL the roots, then doing the rest of the hair, with dye getting all over the place at times. Well, not with Clairol's Nice'n Easy Color Blend Foam. NOPE! All you do you is mix it, and pump it on, rub it in...make sure to get your roots, but it's super duper easy. Then wait 25 min. and rinse...that's it. What use to take 2 hours for my 17 yr old dtr with med. long hair, only took 30 min. total...AND, she did it herself! I didn't have to do it for her, she was able to completely do the process herself and get full coverage. Afterwards, it was great color, she missed one small spot underneath, but it was the easiest thing in the world...I'm sold! Will DEFinitely buy more!

Great product. I received a free sample of this product and was anxious to see how easy it would be to apply. I was very much impressed with the ease of applying the dye to my hair with little fuss. This product is convenient since the foam makes it possible for you to dye your hair by yourself with little worries about making a mess.

As for the commercial, I have to disagree that it only takes 3 shakes for the foam to be ready. LOL.

I hope they will add more auburn's to their selection since they currently have only one option.

I recommend this product to everyone who is interested in colouring their hair.

I have wanted to dye my hair forever but always thought it would be a hassle to do it. I have red hair, but wanted to see what I would look like with brown hair, so when I saw how simple the new Clairol foam was to use, I knew I had to try it. I chose the #4 brown shade, and it turned out gorgeous, if I do say so myself ;)

Being new to this, I wasn't sure what to expect. Mixing the colour was easy and all you have to do is squeeze the bottle to get the foam out. Get a handful of it and massage it into your hair like shampoo... although I found it was easier to squeeze the foam directly onto my hair then massage it in. The smell was quite strong (I understand thats how all hair dye's are), but if you open a window, its fine. Another plus is that you don't have to use numerous boxes - my friend told me to get 2 boxes because my hair is very thick and just past shoulder-length, but I didn't even use the whole bottle! The coverage that you get from the foam is wonderful. The conditioner that you put on your hair afterwards is fantastic - my hair has NEVER felt so soft or been so shiny!

The only downside to this was that I ended up with quite a bit of dye on my forearms that was difficult to get off.... but that's my own fault for not wiping off my arms after massaging the foam into my hair ;)

The Clairol website had answers to a few of the questions that I had before I used the dye, but there's also a toll free number and a facebook page that they are very quick to comment on when you post :) Their customer support is great, and they also offer a satisfaction guarantee on this product.

I received a coupon from Clairol to try this product for free - and I'll definitely be buying it again!

This was one of the easiest hair color products I've used and I've been coloring for 30 years. Usually I have to have DH help, or one of my daughters but this was...well, Nice'n Easy! The color was great and the money back guarantee was a great confidence booster!

The foam was a neat concept, it foams in your hair like shampoo but as soon as it hits your hair it turns into liquid, which doesn't suprise me since I had to shake it quite a few times to keep it foamy in the bottle. it ended up splashing all over EVERYTHING in my bathroom and was dripping into my eyes! I don't think it did a good job dying it at all. The color was very much different from what I normally use, but it didn't change at all. But my scalp sure was stained black for a few days which is funny because the color I got was reddish brown. Not even rubbing alcohol has been able to clean my scalp! It smells horrid as well! VERY much like pure chemicals. It burned my eyes and my nostrils. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone especially not a beginner.

This was not as easy to use as I expected for the main reason of the application bottle being a squeeze dispenser and not pump. At times it was very hard to squeeze to get a nice amount of foam. I'd rather risk drips then be fighting to get any dye onto my hair!

Clairol's new Color Blend Foam allows you to dye your hair easily with no mess and full coverage. This is an intuitive formula that turns into foam after you mix the two chemical components together. The foam creates 6x the amount of volume of standard liquid hair dye and will be available in 26 shades starting February 2011.
The application is easy - it's like rubbing foam through your hair, and it allows for up to 8 weeks of coverage. It can even battle tough grays.

It took me half the time it takes to dye my hair normally (although that could be because I had shorter hair). For sure I could worry less about the dye dripping everywhere and having to comb the dye through my hair evenly. The foam fills in all crevices so you can rest assured that you've covered everything you need. It was fun, easy, and my hair was nice and soft afterwards!

I will definitely recommend this to my mother who is always having trouble getting the grays on the back of her head!

PS. for long haired people, you will only need 1 box or 2 boxes at the most to cover everything!
