Good temp coverage

The dark brown color works good to hide the grey. I like the ten minutes this was why I tried this product and still use this. I would recommend to quickly hide your grey.

Perfect10 is about as good as it gets for hair colour in a box. I've used Perfect 10 for about 4 years. I don't have time to go to a salon so colouring my hair at 11 pm on Sunday nights works with my busy life. I've tried a few other drug store colours and my hair turns orange. I end up waiting a day and then going back to this trusted product. It leaves my hair soft and shiny, and does a great job covering grey. Even my hair stylist has tried to scold me for using a drug store product, but then tells me how healthy my hair is.
The only issue I have is that it is a bit brassy. I only notice it under certain lights.

The big plus with this is that you really only need 10 minutes for the color to take. There is no heavy ammonia smell and the color (medium brown) is exactly as described. The conditioner that comes with it is really nice, and I have found that using it after every shampoo has really kept my hair soft.


My only advice is to not bother using that comb/bottle contraption that comes with it. I don't find it that useful. I have much better success mixing the components in a small mixing bowl, then applying the color with my own coloring brush.

I'm 58 years young and I've tried most brands of hair dyes and Clairol Perfect 10 is perfect for me ! You really are done in 10 minutes, this was made for me ! I tried the MEDIUM ASH BROWN swift chocolate and I'm totally in love with my hair again ! So soft and shiny and it really is Nice and Easy ! Love love love this hair dye !

I Love this product it doesn't have a nasty smell and it doesn't dry out my hair thank god.

I received a free product coupon for this, and decided to test it out. I bought a dark chocolate brown colour, and the finished look was exactly that. A nice, rich colour - and had a beautiful shine. This left my hair feeling healthy and moisturized. The only thing that I didn't like was that it really started itching my scalp.. Kind of annoying!

Bit pricier than other drugstore brands, but this is my HG for at-home color. I really like the application and formula. Just a word of warning, make sure you really only leave it on for 10-15 minutes, anything more than that and my scalp starts to burn a bit and is itchy for days. Otherwise a great product.

I received two coupons for free boxes of Clairol Perfect 10 High Gloss Hair Dye from their face book page. I usually need two full boxes to cover my long hair, but I cut about four to five inches off before I dyed it this time, so I only needed to use a box in a half. They tell you that you can get the color you are looking for in just ten minutes, but because my hair was still very long after I cut that much off it, it still took an hour and fifteen minutes just to get all of the dye on! I waited the ten minutes after we applied it only because I wanted to make sure the last places we covered would color as much as where we started. I really liked that I could hardly smell anything coming from this hair dye. Most that I have tried in the past were so strong that even with the windows open they were hard for me to handle. The Perfect 10 hair dye comes with two types of applicators witch I thought was a great idea. One is just like any other tip, but the other is a comb type, almost like the tip you get with a root touch up only bigger. I found this tip worked the best for my long hair as it was much easier to get through all of my hair and to make sure that the color went on evenly. It’s a great addition for those that are beginners or for those with longer hair. The gloves aren’t the best, their pretty much the same as you would get in the Nice & Easy brand of hair dye. So we used another set from a different brand that I happen to have on hand. Any how I was pretty surprised at how fast this dye rinsed out of my hair. I’m usually bent over my tub for a good ten to twenty minutes, but not with the perfect 10. It was all out in less then ten minutes this time around. The weekly conditioner that comes with this dye also has a nice scent to it and made my hair feel like silk when it was wet and after it had dried. As for my results, like I said it took us a very long time to get all of my hair covered so the dye was on my head for what I feel was way to long before we even started the ten minute wait time. I also always have to use a dye that has ash in it or my hair will go red. I hadn’t dyed my hair in awhile so I had a strip down the center of my head before we started. Once my hair was dried that stripe was gone along with the gray that I had through out my hair, but it doesn’t match the rest of my hair. Where that stripe was is looks just a bit lighter then the rest of my hair. I think because we left the dye on for so long the rest of my hair is more of a light black then an ash brown. The farther you look down from my roots to my tips it gets darker and darker. My poor husband thought I was going Goth on him.LOL My mom told me she thought it looked good, but that’s what moms are suppose to tell us. My kids didn’t even know me from the back and when they did realise it was me they didn’t say anything thing. The looks on their faces sure did though. I think I scared them.LOL If this would have happened to me a few years ago I think I would have cried for weeks, but after everything I’ve gone through in my life so far, I just said oh well better luck next time. I just won’t use a ten minute dye on my hair again. How ever if you have shorter hair I really do think the Clairol Perfect 10 High Gloss Hair Dye would be great for you. I just don’t think it’s for those of us that have very long hair. The timing is everything and in my opinion you just can’t get good coverage, get the dye on fast enough with hair as long as mine, then leave the dye on for another ten minutes and expect it to work right all over. Over all I do love the Clairol Perfect 10 high Gloss Hair dye, I just wouldn’t recommend it for people with long hair.

I tried Clairol Perfect 10 because I had recieved an FPC. I decided to go with a darker colour because I have never gone dark with my hair. My hair is normally a light brown so I chose Dark Golden Brown. I have to say that I love this colour it gave my hair a nice dark tint but with a golden red shine. Other than the fact that I found this product very messy and hard to work with, I liked this product. The fact that it only took 10 minutes to work and that it turned my hair an awesome colour certainly made up for that. This is a product that I would use again, next time I think I will be asking a friend to help me out though!

I'm so impressed with many of the new hair dyes that have been coming out on the market.There sure not like the old style ones that smelled horrible and that you had to leave in your hair for so long.Now they have 10 minute kits and foam kits all great marketing.I received a free coupon for this as well through a facebook promotion.It was regular $14.99 at my local Pharmasave.I choice light ash blond after looking through all the choices. I'm glad I choice this color it turned out really nice.I was skeptical about my first 10 minute dye kit as I have just under 50% gray hair so 10 minutes doesn't seem long enough for me.I left it in 15 minutes and it completely covered the gray how nice to be able to dye my hair this quick without dye sitting on my head for close to an hour like the old ones.

It comes with either a comb attachment for first time hair coloring or if its been past 3 months since your last color...Or a tip application for touch ups.They give your very strong gloves not like the usual cheap plastic ones these are more rubber based.The smell is so pleasant it smells like bananas in fact I can smell bananas in my hair the following day....The provide a large 6 treatment conditioner as well that makes your hair feel so fresh and soft.Application was super easy just mix your two bottles together shake and apply. I'm really happy with the results goodbye gray!Time to go out and show it off!
