Super Fun Bow Making

My 8 year old daughter loves to make crafts and cute things, and this kit was no exception. She enjoyed picking out her colour scheme and putting on the cute gem stickers. I really love that the bows are reusable and you can make different colour combinations if you choose. It would be a great activity for after school, rainy/snowy days, or when hanging out with friends. The only reason we gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because we would love to have more bow colour options! We love Cool Maker toys already, so we will definitely look at the other kits they have available.

Hair Styl'd Bow Maker Tryout

We like this toy very much. When we got the package from Butterly as a gift, we were very excited to open it up; however, it is middle of the week, we didn't have a lot of free time to enjoy it. I told my daughter wait until the weekend to play with it. She was very excited and asked "Can I open it" when she was home everyday after school 😂
She played on the Saturday finally. She was very happy to play with it. She made a few different styles. She can play with it almost all on her own, except need some help from my wife to tie the bow with the maker at the beginning. The more she played with it, the easier for her to make it on her own.
The bow maker is a great toy for the kid to play on their own or with friends. It is a very entertaining toy for a group of girls to play at the party time.
But in my opinion, it can only play as a toy at home mostly of the time, it can't be used as an accessory outside of home especially when it is winter time (since it is quite big, the kid can't put their hood on if the bow is on the head). If the bow can be smaller, it will be perfect.
After this experience with Butterly, we are looking forward to try out more toys from Spin Master by either buying it on our own or testing opportunities from Butterly.

Cute and easy to use

My daughter was excited to create her own hair bow accessory. This toy came with a bow maker machine, a few coloured ribbons, bow clasps and a sheet of gem stickers. The instruction manual is straight forward and easy to understand with detailed pictures. My daughter and I worked on the first bow together but after learning how to make it, she was able to design and put the other bows together herself. I noticed that the ribbons and hair clip clasps included are way too large for children to wear because they stick out too much once it is in the hair. If the materials included had a variety of sizes then it would fit them better. Overall, this toy kept my daughter busy for a few hours as she kept changing the ribbon and bow colours to make it look different.

Awesome little craft kit

I received this kit for free. It is an amazing little kit, you are able to make several bows from it. Kept the kids entertained for a few hours, which is saying a lot these days.

Easy to make and great product

This craft was very easy to make. My 7 year old daughter was able to follow the instructions and make them on her own. The colours and jewels are nice. And she loves the fact that they can be taken apart later to make different combinations. The reason I gave 4 stars is because the clip on the back is flimsy so it would pop open easily after it was clipped. If they can add a hair tie with the clip then it would be more secure. Overall still a great product and great gift option.

So much fun!

We received the Cool Maker Hair Styl'd from Butterly in exchange for a review. We have used many of the Cool Maker craft kids before including the bracelet ones that my daughter begged Santa for this year. Like always, the instructions were clear and all the materials needed were precut and ready to go. You simply assemble each piece in order onto the machine and Voila! You have a very beautiful bow. My 4 yo daughter has not stopped wearing them and I had to stealthily take it off while she slept, as the barette is quite chunky and would have been uncomfortable to sleep on. My only criticism is that there were not enough stickers to decorate the bows. The bows are large and the kit only contained 48 gemstone stickers. The very next day upon receiving it, I had to go out and purchase more gemstone stickers! In all, we love the kit and I cannot wait to try it with different bows during the holidays using the precuts as a stencil. Overall, a great little gift for the creative, girly girls.

Bow Maker

We were given the Bow Maker for my child to try. Since my child is very crafty, interest was there. It was a little tricky to work, but after some practice, it was worth it.
