Cute, fun, needs adult assistance

Was pleasantly surprised by quality of purse and size was good. Design was great! Difficulte on the fingers. Did this with my 7 yr old. Kept his attention for the most part. His favourite part was pulling out the pieces from the pattern and applying the gems. Overall fun activity for us to do together!

Great DIY toy, but maybe for an older age range

The toy quality was pretty great! The actual material for the Cool Maker, Sweetheart Handbag Kit was a sturdy material, and was easy to work with. My only concern was that the instructions lacked written directions, which made interpreting each step a bit challenging for my child. I do think that building the entire bag can get a bit tedious and frustrating for a child who’s 6-8 years old. I think this kit would be better suited for a slightly higher age range, maybe 9-12. Overall a great DIY kit for children, just needs to be a bit more simplified if it’ll remain 6+. Thanks!

"Cool bag" as my daughter says

My daughter was super excited when we received this Sweetheart bag kit from spinmaster. She wanted to get started right away and even worked away during her homeschool lesson videos. The whole project took a few hours and she was fully engaged.
The kit comes with faux leather pieces already cut out and a few gems to decorate with. You weave everything together so no needles are needed.
Unfortunately some leather pieces are very thin and it was hard to pull through the holes even for me. And some pieces ended up ripping. There were extra small pieces of leather but the big ones i was able to tie of and continue working with the redt of the leather string. My fingers did hurt at the end of the project.
That said my daughter really enjoyed this project, is very proud of the purse she made! She takes it along with her when we go places and puts her treasures inside the bag which is very spacious for a child.
I find this is also a great experience and lesson to learn how items are made from leather and the whole process of weaving instead of sewing.
We are already looking at other kits to try.

Cutest Lil’ Sweetheart Bag

As a big fan of Spin Master toys, it was exciting to receiving the CoolMaker Sweetheart Purse [free in the mail] to review- This was a fun craft for my daughter- who really enjoyed being able to customize the purse with the cutest accessories that came included with the bag. The faux leather is strong and can easily hold all your little one’s special treasures.

Cool Maker Sweetheart Handbag through Butterly

We got the Cool Maker Sweetheart Handbag through Butterly, and it was a fun little project overall.
My daughter is 8, and even though the kit says 6+, she definitely needed help with the instructions. Honestly, I found them a bit confusing too, so it wasn’t just her. It took us a bit of time to figure everything out together.
That said, once we got it all put together, it actually looked really nice. The finished handbag is cute, feels well-made, and doesn’t come across as cheap at all. My daughter was really proud of it when she was done.
Overall, it’s a great idea and a fun activity, just be prepared to jump in and help with the setup.

Very cute bag, assembly takes time and patience

We received the Cool Maker, Sweetheart Handbag Kit, from Butterly / Spin Master to try.
It came at just the right time for Valentine's day. My 9 year old son was very excited to make something this cute and special for his sister for Valentine’s day.
It comes with all the pieces you need in the box. Putting the bag together wasn't difficult but the strap and the tiny attachment part was definitely challenging even for an adult. The little attachment straight arrow strings are very short and fragile. It is tricky to push through the holes and when you pull on them to make it fit it gets ripped easily.I am not sure how it will hold up at the strap attachments over time, a snap or clip might have been easier and more durable than the string thing. It took us almost 3 hours to finish it. Although it said ages 6 and up he needed lots of help with the small parts.
That said, the finished bag is really cute and a nice heart shaped that little girls are absolutely adorable with soft pink colors, sparkly stone stickers and attachments. Its small , child-friendly size make it easy to wear and perfect for little everyday treasures like sunglasses and lip balms.
The best part was to see my son wrapping it and giving it to his sister for Valentine’s day. She loved it and that moment made the whole craft feel special and worth the effort.
A sweet idea with a few small design challenges but still a lovely activity overall.
This experience definitely makes me more interested in exploring additional Spin Master toys.

Crafts that make you think

My 9 year old and I worked this project together. The quality was great and it was nice to have extra pieces just incase. She really enjoyed it. At times it was a little trick so I did help her. I do think because it challenged her at times it made her feel very proud to finish it. She is excited for her new purse and what she can put in it. We enjoy Spin Master toys as a family and will continue to do so.

Good activity for kids and parents

My daughter was very excited to make this! It is very good quality. They could have provided a plastic tool to put the pieces through the tiny slots but tweezers made it possible. It was definitely fun and i can see her using the purse for enough time that it would make it worth it!

Kept my kiddo busy for 2hrs!

My 7 yo daughter was thrilled with this craft set. From the minute she opened the box she was hooked. The instructions only have photos, no words, which could be improved but we were able to follow along. A few pieces of the faux leather snapped when my daughter applied too much force. I was happy it kept her engaged for 2hrs and she was happy with her new creation that seems relatively sturdy. Would make a great gift for a little girl!

Cute heart shaped purse kite

I received this cute heart kit purse. I literally like that alot but I don’t have daughters i only have 3 boys so I wasn’t expecting a girlie toy but anyways one of my boys was very excited to see that and liked it alot but as its a girlie toy so he’s ready to gift that to his cousin sister
