Not sure if it is due to the type of hair I have but this oil did nothing good for my hair. I have very curly hair and I found that this product made my hair feel sticky and flat. The scent was nice and gentle and I'm sure it's a great product but it was not good for me

I received this product for free from Chick Advisor in exchange for a review (thanks Chick Advisor!!). My usual go-to hair oil is Moroccan Argon Oil, which I love and use daily. My hair is really fine and can easily be weighed down with product, so I'm careful what I use. I used Dove's Dry Oil for several days to see how it worked and here are my pros/cons:

Pros:
-Can control amount dispensed easily with pump (Moroccan oil is difficult since the pump automatically dispensed a full pump of product, which is annoying)
-Is light enough that a small amount doesn't weigh down my hair
-Would be great for someone with thick hair
-A large bottle (100ml)

Cons:
-Smells a bit like 'grandma perfume'. I wasn't a fan
-The directions say to use 3-4 pumps and smooth over hair, seems excessive and I wouldn't recommend that
-Can be a little pricey for a drugstore oil ($12)

Would I repurchase? No, I wouldn't, only because I have another product that I like better (works better on my hair and smells better). But I think someone with a different hair texture might have a better outcome than me, maybe if you have thicker hair or curly hair, it would be a great oil for you.

Dove Pure Care Dry Oil Nourishing Hair Treatment with African Macadamia Oil. That's a big name for a product. That aside, I wasn't a huge fan of this product right away. I tried applying first to towel dried hair and I simply did not like the way my hair felt. It DID feel greasy (perhaps not as greasy as some other products out there). I then tried it as a pre-treatment to shampooing and I felt a little better knowing that I would be following up the application with rinsing it out. I can see myself using a tiny bit as a touch up or pre-styling product, but have yet to do so.

I found that this oil didn't really do anything positive for my hair. It was too thin a formula to coat my hair properly to keep it from getting all frizzy and after a few minutes it was as if I hadn't put anything in my hair at all. The smell although pleasant was a bit too overpowering for my liking as well.

I'm not a huge fan of oils for my hair. I find they just don't work for me. I was hoping this would be different as people rave about oils, but I had the same results. It leaves my hair greasy and weighs it down. And I only use a tiny tiny amount. I think it is my hair type. I would not use this product in the future but it may work well for other hair types.

This hair treatment was average for me. My hair did not respond well to it and it left it feeling heavy. I have very fine hair, which could have been the problem.

I got this product for free with the review club. It was my first Time using an oil in my hair as they get greasy in no Time. So i was very careful with the amount i used and it was just fine! Loved the smell and made my hair look healthy.

I have been using this everyday for several weeks. I have not noticed much of a difference as of yet. I use hot oil treatments every couple of months because my hair is so dry and damaged from dying it for so many years and I was really hoping that this would eliminate me having to do those, but I'm not thinking so. I will continue to use it and hopefully I'll get some better results

I received this product for free to review thanks to Chick Advisor. Unfortunately I was not a fan of this scent. The product itself works great but there are simply a lot of other dry oils that are out on the market that works just as great, but smells better and has a lower price point.

I was not a fan of the smell st all. It did nourish my ends and was great for adding shine. I would have used it more but didn't like the smell so if it macadamia and coconut oil! Then I would purchase it thankfully and gratefully I received this product for absolutely FREE from the #ChickAdvisor Product Review Club @DoveCanada #ExperienceDove which is always a bonus for a girl who loves to try before she buys!
